Dr. John Suen, MD

I was referred to Dr. Suen by my Internist for sleep apnea. After having the test performed at Dr. Suen’s Office, it was verified that I have severe sleep apnea. When I was explaining to Dr. Suen That I sometimes have shortness of breath with exertion, because of his concern he had me scheduled for a breathing test and a chest x-ray. The test came back that I have emphysema, even though I have never smoked. I thought the problem was with my heart, because of being declared Medically and clinically dead, on June 1, 2016 at Palm Beach County Cardiac Hospital and Mayo Clinic’s Doctor saying I have very complicated heart issues, after cardiac arrest and being hit three times after, by my internal defibrillator. See Documentary ( Mayo Clinic 3D Model Joe Bitter ). because of Dr. Suen’s concern for my health, I can now take every means possible to help my emphysema from worsening . After almost a year on the CPAC and a F-40 mask I am doing better. Dr. Suen has been another Blessing to me.

Dr Suen seemed ok. Seemed uninterested and in repetition mode. Tech, MARK, was professional, pleasant. Respectfully declining comments on Office staff. But am now a patient elsewhere due to 'them'.

Love Dr Suen but got his PA who seemed in a hurry. Dr. Suen previously told be I had a little asthma as shown on breathing tests, prescribed albu terol if needed and return in year. PA said yeah you have asthma/copd. When asked what to do, he replied, "don't get sick"

He saved my husbands life and is keeping him going! Great PA and great nurses

I’ve been seeing Dr. Suen for years now. He always addresses my concerns with my severe emphysema and sleep apnea and prescribes me medications as needed. The girl in the front office has gone out of her way on multiple occasions to help me with my cpac machine, paperwork, etc. The nurses refill my medications in a timely manner. Sometimes you can’t get through when you call because they are so busy and that’s understandable, so sometimes I’ll stop by or just wait for a call back if it isn’t an emergency. It’s nice to have a doctor that isn’t with the big corporate medical facilities. Overall great facility.

Went there yesterday the women at the front desk with the curly hair was so rude. When we got there she looked at me and continued talking to the people around her. She is not a nice person she should not be the first person you meet.

Was referred to Dr Suen due to abnormal X-ray. Office staff said earliest appointment was in 6 weeks. When I explained my concern about results, she said they would put me on a cancellation list - they saw me within the week! Dr Suen is kind, asks a lot of questions, thoroughly explained diagnosis. So grateful for their excellent service.

It was very hard to schedule, staff is rude, he was always running late and staff did not let you know, so you could reschedule, Never listened, always in a rush and repeatedly asked the same questions and constantly looking at his watch. I waited 1 1/2 hours for an appointment and I said I am out of here and got a new doctor. I would never go back to him again.

Eight years ago I visited Suen, on a referral I'd received about checking me for Sleep Apnea. I stayed overnight in the Sleep Clinic that Suen operates. I felt uneasy then about the competency of the sleep technicians working there. Days later, Suen diagnosed me with "Sleep Apnea," saying that I had experienced 23 "apneas" during the time of testing, and that I needed an expensive CPAP machine, which he just happened to have on sale at his office. I've the CPAP every night for 8 years. Last month, I visited a well-credentialed pulmonologist in Jupiter (FL). I was tested overnight at the Jupiter Sleep Clinic, and after 6+ hours of sleep, the technician who'd supervised my study announced, "You have *NO* SLEEP APNEA." Two pulmonologists subsequently reviewed my sleep lab results and declared, "You do NOT have Sleep Apnea, so stop using the CPAP." They had CPAP machines for sale, but did not offer me one. I won't be going back to Suen or his partner, Dr. Tonner.

Words cannot express how grateful I am to Dr. Suen because lung cancer could have cost me my life! He is very compassionate and showed amazing empathy for what I was going through. His medical knowledge is outstanding when evaluating care options. Dr. Suen is a brilliant doctor and I trust him wholeheartedly. His office staff are respectful and kind.

I have been a patient of Dr. Suen for many years; he was also my mother’s physician. He always provided excellent, conscientious care and was genuinely concerned about our health. He saved my mother’s life on more than one occasion. I have, and will continue to recommend Dr. Suen to friends.

Dr. Suen focused on my issues, took time to answer my questions, and provided me with excellent care. There are several reviews here that say he didn't pay attention or look at the patient. That was definitely not my experience. His staff are helpful, too. I've had 3 office visits thus far and I'd recommend his practice to my family and friends. Dr. Suen referred me to another specialist in town and that referral was excellent, also. All in all, I'm very pleased with this medical provider.

He was extremely thorough. Explained all the tests I needed and the reason for them. He asked me if I had any questions. That is a good sign of a good doctor. He wanted to make sure I understood. I would and have recommended him.

Dr.Suen is a great doctor and very attentive to any needs.

Dr. Suen saved my husband’s life! I was worried sick and Dr. Suen took the time to care for both of us. He is so awesome!

I’m a new patient to Dr. Suen and have had the best medical care for my conditions. The office staff is always polite and explain everything to me. The wait time is never more than 5-10 mins and Dr. Suen is always very thorough and answers any questions that I have. I would highly recommend this office to others. I also thank Dr. Suen for saving my fathers life a couple years ago. I truly believe without Dr. Suen’s medical care my father would not be here today. I’m very grateful to him.

Dr. Suen takes the time to explain everything about my condition and ongoing treatment to me and my husband. He was very compassionate and always takes very good care of me. I have several health issues and need to see many doctors. I trust him and Dr. Suen is my favorite doctor!

Never again, Dr. Suen never made eye contact with me during the visit. Never looked away from the computer and still ordered the wrong test that we discussed. In addition I waited 2 weeks for the results of my in house test to be send to my cardiologist. Definitely all about the money. Never again for me.

After visiting many doctors who just try to get through an appointment as quickly as possible, it was a definite improvement to see Dr. Suen. He spent as much time with me as necessary to answer all my questions and address all my concerns. He is knowledgeable, caring and kind and I would recommend him to my friends and family, and i've already done so.
