My experience with this office was poor. I called and asked if they took my insurance and they stated they did. The doctor was fine. I sched the next visit but they had to cancel the day prior and I was unable to use the office for the follow up because of thier restricted office hours. I know received an EOB from my insurance that the office is out of network. The office claims they tell all patients they accept the ins and don’t disclose if it’s out of network. That’s a sneaky practice.

We have found Dr. Saugy to be a very competent and kind doctor. We had been using a different Orthopedic doctor and felt we were just a number in that office, so we switched to Dr. Saugy. He is a pleasure to talk to, never rushed us and answered all of our questions without making us feel like our time was up.. Our appointments with him were always on time and the girls in his office were very professional and took care of all of our needs with a smile. We strongly recommend Dr. Saugy.

I was able to get into See Dr. Saugy right away after I suffered a quad tear during my powerlifting competition last year .Dr. Saugy is the man. he took care of me and helped me get back to my training. A few weeks ago I squatted 850 pounds unequipped and I even landed a spot on the unequipped men's powerlifting hall of fame. Definitely recommend Dr. Saugy to anyone who needs an honest and trustworthy ortho.

Dr. Saugy treated me for an severe ankle injury that occurred while I was on vacation. When I returned home, I was fortunate to be referred to Dr. Saugy. He was able to do the surgery few days later, and I was on the road to recovery. It has been 2 years now and I am able to perform all the things I could do before the injury - jogging, cycling, hiking - without any problems. I have referred several friends to him since, and thay have been very happy also.

My handicapped son broke his femur and Dr Saugy operated on him at Good Sam's (on a Sunday !).my son has Medicaid for insurance which Dr Saugy does not take. HOWEVER, he saw him for follow up AND did not make us go out for X-rays. He did them NO charge. Dr Saugy was kind and friendly to my little guy. The staff were very kind and pleasant and took care of all our needs for school. I would definitely recommend this dr to anyone. It is hard to find Drs who work well with the handicapped. ??

I've been a patient of Dr. Saugy for two years now. I've had a few sports related injuries being a student athlete and he's been a he's been a wonderful go-to guy. The first time I made an appointment was for a fracture , since then he's treated me multiple times . Last week I made an appointment for an elbow injection , he even stayed after hours to accommodate me . He's not only a great doc but he's very sweet and trustworthy. He's great for athletes , definitely understands.

I have never had difficulty making an appointment. I first went to see the doctor for my 14 year old daughter because I had a serious concern about an issue with her leg. One of the only doctors that I called that gave me an appointment right away even though we had never been there before. I also have to add that I have never had an unpleasant experience with the front office staff either. I would recommend this office without hesitation, and I can't say that about too many other doctors.

Great doctor but AWFUL receptionist. One of the younger receptionist there is outstanding and very sweet but the older gargoyle needs to be fired. They supposedly called to cancel an appointment I had ( which they never did). She even had to audacity to read my chart and say I called the number listed and read it wrong to me. She did this right in front of me and I said to her thats not what my chart says and she slammed it closed. I drove from Bellmore to Bay shore for the appointment to find

Dr Saugy was able to see my son the same day for an ankle injury. The office was busy but they were able to sqeeze us in because they knew I was concerned. Fortunately it was a small fracture, and 6 weeks later he is able to run and has just started gym classes.

After not being able to secure an appointment with my regular hand doctor i made an appointment with dr saugy's office as I cannot bend my index finger and have a lot of pain. Total waste of an appointment. The xray tech asked more questions than dr saugy. He never touched my hand. After a glance I was sent on my way to see a hand specialist. No suggestions how to ease pain. It looked as if he was bothered that was even there. Would have been treated better at a walk in.
