On time and thorough!

Incredibly disappointing. My GP (likely practicing defensive medicine) insisted on referring me to a cardiologist. Cardiologists are overbooked in Sarasota, so I ended up with Dr. P. He refused my requested test (CT Angiogram) , subjected me to other tests and treated me like a mushroom. At this point I'm so disgusted with our medical industry that I'm investigating palliative care.

Dr. Puleo has been my cardiologist for almost 20 years. His knowledge, compassion, and introspection all make him an excellent doctor. I would highly recommend him.

He is personally in touch with the patient. His staff is extraordinary. And I personally appreciate his conservative yet thorough approach.

Thanks to Dr. Puleo and God, I'm alive today! Dr. Puleo is the most thorough Dr and truly cares about what is the best treatment for you. I was in hospital doing really bad, and thanks to him and Dr. Eve Sprague they kept me from being vented, cause we all know what happens usually then. Once I got out Dr. Puleo made sure i continued to get taken care of. Some of the staff can be a little difficult to deal with, as far as getting them to call you back or get insurance verification. But overall it’s a good office.

Dr Puleo has treated my arrhythmia and discover a scar tissue blockage which he cleared the blockage. Continues to treat the arrhythmia which I have not any other episode

I dont usually write reviews about Doctors but after having Dr Puleo for 3 years as my Cardiologist I thought it was time to write one. Ive never met a Doctor who will spend as much time as needed to talk with me. I never feel rushed. He listens and gets to know you as a patient. He's very thorough explaining things and doesn't cut corners. His PA Lisa is excellent. The office staff is personable and very dependable. I would recommend Dr Puleo to my family members and friends.

I met Dr Puleo many years ago and somehow got lost in the shuffle of insurance… Unfortunately, through not such a good experience, I fortunately met back up with him…and I’m glad to have him back in charge of my heart health! I need someone who is kind, but straightforward at the same time, and this is Dr Puleo…??

Wonderful cardiologist with both GOOD medical practice and "beside manner". Does a thorough exam and asks lots of questions that relate to life styles and practices that affect the heart. NEVER in a hurry to get to the next patient!

Ten years ago I suffered a heart attack and went to Doctor's Hospital. Dr. Puleo was on that night and attended me. I was taken to Sarasota Memorial for open heart with five clogged arteries. When I awoke, Dr. Puleo was there, as a matter of fact, he has always been there for me. I trust him and admire him. I would highly recommend him to anyone.

I had for months had increased fluid. The last visit Dr Puleo said "The fluid is much less". No ECHO needed". The night of the CT Scan a week later my Oncologist called stating I needed to go immediately to the OR at the hospital. I was admitted for 8 days and a chest tube and window cut into my heart to drain fluid. The whole event was very painful and scary. All records were sent to Dr P. I called and then sent a letter to him but still have not heard back from anyone as yet after 5 months!!!!

Amazing! I am a health care provider myself and am just so impressed with Dr. Puleo. Not only is his bedside manner impeccable, he truly listens and is a genuine person. He goes above and beyond for his patients and is an asset to our community. I'm so lucky to have the pleasure to be his patient.

Dr. Puleo is direct and to the point when asked about your health, he doesn't beat around the bush like some I've been to, I trust his advice implicitly, and follow his advice to the T.
