Dr Prodoehl answered all my questions and addressed my concerns. My knee replacement went well and my recovery is advancing rapidly. I think his prescribing pre-surgery physical therapy was brilliant.

I am thankful I followed up on the recommendations of co-workers because I had a wonderfully positive experience with Dr. Prodoehl. We discussed options for a total knee replacement after three years of dealing with meniscus surgeries and pain that impacted the tasks of my everyday active lifestyle. Dr P spoke in terms that made sense to me – he ensured I was clear on knee replacement and options. I went in to my same-day surgery on a Wednesday morning and walked out to my ride with minimal assistance of the staff and a walker. Two days later on Friday I began physical therapy three days a week. I attacked the normal swelling with a Vascu Therm rental, compression socks, and a wedge pillow to elevate my legs – you need to plan for this. I did physical therapy for three months – could have reduced that frequency and duration if I wanted to - I was able to extend my knee to zero degrees (straight leg) and flex to 115 degrees. At my fourth month I could flex to 120 degrees.

I had total knee replacement revision surgery I was walking in assisted the next day , after five years of trying to get help I met the good doctor he agreed to help and I couldn't have found a better doctor . Got a total knee replacement from Dr. Prodoehl. Procedure went smooth. Knee is doing great! I was driving in 2 1/2 weeks and swinging the golf club in 4 weeks. He listens and genuinely seems to care.
