After 15years of me going to him, mind you he wasn't the one who caught my cancer cervical or my gastroenteritis. I went to an appointment and it had been a week and they still haven't sent over my meds.. I called left messages on the 4th call left a message but, I was crying.in so much pain. They said that no I can't call like that and they removing me from the practice. Mind you I didn't now this so I proceed to my next appointment when I got there the front lady handed me a note with a name & number so I was so confused the lady proceed to tell me what part of what I'm saying don't u understand. I had my older daughter with me that day so my daughter told her off.. I go home call the person & she says oh don't worry front desk just called me. So from me crying to me being disrespect. It's just so sad. Oh did I mention I'm in the ear6stages of dementia. So I forget alot or won't understand. Horrible I wouldn't recommend this office to my worst enemy.

Late for work, no bedside manner
Dr. Poults was 30 minutes late to work causing me to lay around with a needle in my arm, tires, cold and hungry. From chat I heard by staff this is his usual pattern. When I was finally rolled into the procedure room he didn’t introduce himself or even say good morning. He asked before my gurney even stopped rolling if I “had any problems”. I answered “good morning to you, too”. He then stated- you don’t have any health problems. Nurse anesthetist corrected him by stating my health history. That was all the communication “among” me and Dr. Poulus until recovery. He spoke to the man recovering next to me in detail about his emerging diverticulitis. Recommended Metamucil, wished him well, etc. He entered my room and told me I had 5 polyps and told me to come back in 18 months. No more, no less. I had to prove for a little more information which he provided, in haste before leaving. I was completely unimpressed by his bedside manner and lack of concern for his patients.

Dr. Poulos & his support staff have always given me excellent care and attention for over the last 15 years. He has my complete and total trust and confidence when it comes to the many health issues I have had over the years. Always....always professional in every aspect of my care and concerns. By far, the most friendly and professional doctor office I have been a patient in the Fayetteville/Raleigh/Durham area. Shout-out to all who work there! Thank you for kindness & true professional conscientiousness!

Dr. Poulos did colonoscopies on me and my husband around 2005 and 2006 respectively. He was fantastic. He is very brisk and to the point. Let us know exactly what was wrong and how it could be fixed. He is the consummate professional and I wish I still lived close enough to use his practice for my gastrointestinal needs.

Office staff is rude. The doctor spent approximately 2 minutes with me and would not listen to anything I said. He had his mind made up on what was wrong with me before he even walked in the room. Scheduled me for a colonoscopy with no follow-up appointment. When I called later to ask for a follow-up, the nurse told me none was necessary. I will definitely look for a different doctor. It's way too expensive to see a specialist who doesn't care.
