Dr Perry Great Office staff not so much
Office staff is very difficult to reach by telephone. They do NOT return any phone calls. They are indifferent and inexperienced for the front desk/appointment positions. Dr. Perry is amazing as a surgeon. So I don't understand why the difficult front desk situation. Amazing!!!

My experience with Dr. Perry and his entire staff, office and hospital has been absolutely brilliant and extraordinary. His confidence encouraged me that in replacing my left hip, I would be able to live a very productive and pain free life at my age of almost 93. I have just had my week after surgery follow up appointment and He is absolutely right. Dr. Perry is a fine, very competent, and caring man and I will recommend him to all my friends and family.

The absolute most incompetent front office staff of any doctor I have EVER dealt with!!!! They deserve no stars, but the system forces at a least one. 6 months of messages with no return calls along with 2 visits to the office, then finally we have an appointment which they cancel 2 days before. Then, blamed my husband for needing the appointment because he needed to switch to the other knee as the first surgery due to injury. Enough is enough, Dr. Perry seems like a good guy and probably a decent surgeon, but he's accountable for his disgraceful, incompetent, rude staff and I will shout my disgust from the rooftops- don't go to this surgeon if you want to be treated in a timely, respectful manner.

Right knee repair
I had a great result following my right knee repair after limping around for 7 months. I would recommend him to anyone! My only issue was his front office operation. They were very slow to respond.

After waiting 2 MONTHS, limping around with a torn meniscus the whole time, they called to cancel my appointment just 19 HOURS before its scheduled time... the day after calling to CONFIRM! They told me he had changed networks the same day they called to cancel, and FHCP was no longer in network, as of that day - the day AFTER confirming. If Dr. Perry cared one bit about his patients and being a generally good person, he would have instructed his staff to not cancel any months-long, awaiting appointments for patients just because he suddenly decided he didn't want to take their insurance anymore. A respectable Dr. would at least offer a consultation. All they offered was for me to come as a full-cost, cash patient, which defeats the purpose of insurance... and makes it clear that this doctor cares not about his patients' well-being, but only about his balance sheet. Now I get to continue to limp around for another month until my appointment with a better, much-less-greedy doctor.

I never got to see Dr. Perry. Woman who answered the phone was impossible. Kept ranting about ‘knowing your rights’. I did not call for a dissertation on the political environment but for an appointment. Dr. Perry please check your girls who answer your phone, they give you a very bad name. Replace them, I have heard about their disfunction from other patients, would be patients, and experienced the difficulty myself.

Terrible ignorant staff dr seemed to not care based on Medicare but i have great ins from my pension. Need something for pain for complete tear of acl and shredded mcl and pcl. No return call. Ordered custom brace waited 2 weeks and the brace guy needed an edendum to script and they didn't respond to him till I called. I fell 3 times with no support. Then I called to cancel next appointment and girl in office said ok click while I was talking. So rude glad I am seeing new surgeon. Mind you I been dealing with this for 6 weeks now. I would never recommend this doctor.

Love Dr Perry...... Great staff....... Lauren was kind as can be as she re-arranged everything during this challenging time of “lockdown” (covid19) to see us, in office. My husband was in acute pain and needed an evaluation to get to the source of this pain. Dr Perry ‘s professional opinion means everything to us, ....and we don’t say that often! 3 years prior, Dr Perry replaced my husband’s other hip and basically saved his life after 4 years of misdiagnosis and intolerable/excruciating pain. That surgery, (from a-z), went perfectly and my husband’s new hip Is 100% functional today, no pain, no adverse side affects....pure bliss. We are forever grateful.

Dr. Perry is a excellent ortho who cares for his patients. He did an extremely difficult and somewhat rare surgery on my torn butt muscles-2 years after injuring it. I’m now able to live my life in not as much pain, discomfort and restriction. Highly recommend him!

Went to see Dr. Perry for a second opinion. After an mri first dr. said I need surgery, friends at the gym mentioned Dr. Perry. No problem with staff or getting an appointment. Dr. Perry said the mri does not show a need for surgery. Gave me a complete shoulder exam, which the first surgeon did not. Very nice guy, spend all the time I needed for questions and exam. If someone has to cut, Dr. Perry will be the surgeon.

Dr Perry and his staff are the best! I’ve had both knees replaced and the outcome has exceeded my expectations-no residual pain or discomfort and back to my usual activities in a minimal period of time. During the entire process both Dr Perry and Barbara Coleman explained in great detail the surgery and the recovery process as well as the anticipated outcome. The follow up visits have consisted of a thorough review of my experience with the replacements since the previous visit as well as suggested regimen for maintaining joint health.

My mother currently lives in an assisted apartment complex in Melbourne, FL at the top of two flights of stairs. It has become glaringly apparent from two ruined, swollen knees that she can no longer manage this daily ascent. To move into a ground floor unit the management requires a written statement from her orthopedic doctor. When asked for said statement, after paying over $130 for an office visit, Dr. Perry replied dismissively that he only signs forms and would not fulfill this simple request. This office after repeated inquiries for something as trivial as a two-sentence statement had the temerity to charge an elderly woman with little income $25 for what equates to 2 minutes of work. John Perry you are not only a bad doctor, you are an honor less coward and a thief. Shame on your staff for blindly following such a repugnant toad.

Highly recommend Dr Perry, who is now in his new office. You are in good hands when you choose Dr Perry and his assistant Barbara for your surgical procedure. Patiently explains everything regarding the causes of the physical symptoms of your problem, surgery, recovery period and physical therapy. Answers any questions you may have to make an informed decision. I would not go to anyone else.

Dr. Perry performed double hip replacement for me and did an amazing job. He replaced my left hip in March and my right hip in June. It is great to be able to go about my life pain free. After adhering to a strick physical therapy regiment I am able do all the things I was unable to do because of the debilitating pain. I can not say enough about how impressed I was with Dr. Perry and his amazing staff.
