Worst doctor I’ve ever encountered.
Brought my 7 year old child in for a sudden onset head tic. He told me just to ignore it. Then said “oh I don’t have a speculum small enough for his ears” left the room and 20 minutes later, sent in a nurse for discharge. Absolutely no exam.

Intelligent and caring
Dr.Obert was wonderful to me and my family during our visit. He checked my main complaints and explained what next steps should be. Given the high stress and demands of his job, I am stunned at how calm and considerate he was with me. Thank you Dr.Obert!

This doctor is horrible ! I went to the Gardendale Emergency Room on Mothers Day because my finger wasn't healing after being on different antibiotics for 2 months. He comes to the room I was in with about 5 nurses which was very intimidating. He grabs my hand without asking me could he grab my hand and starts scratching my finger super hard putting me in pain. He never asked could he scratch my finger. He never told me it was going to hurt or could hurt. When I told him it hurts he just kept doing it harder. This guy clearly didnt want to be there. He was very short with his answers and told me it was a fungus and to get some Lamitril from CVS and walked out. He didnt help me at all. I put Lamitril on my finger for a month and it didnt help. He didnt run any tests on me or anything. Come to find out I am borderline diabetic and need to start taking action to prevent getting diabetes. This doctor could have cost me my life. Dont see this doctor. He doesnt care about anybody. He is just there to do a job and go home.

Wish there was a zero star rating as my 2 experiences with Dr. O"bert at UAB ER in Gardendale resulted in me being sent home with a severe MRSA infection and spinal cord injury, neither of which were diagnosed. Only after receiving a 2nd opinion from my primary care doctor was I sent for proper blood work and spinal scans. I would not recommend Dr O'bert, he seemed very presumptive and not very thorough.

If I could give this Dr a 0 I would. He almost paralyzed my husband or worse. He is definitely not thorough and I don't recommend.
