Dr. Nigro has done all of my daughters surgeries who was born with HRHS. He is nothing short of amazing. It is a testament to me that he is capable of going from one case to another with such professionalism and compassion. He even puts so much effort to minimize scaring. That being said, his whole team at Rady children hospital staff are welcoming and amazing with kids.

Dr. Nigro has done 2 heart surgeries on my son who is a single ventricle. My son had quick recoveries both times and Dr. Nigro always made us feel like we are his priority. He always came by to check on Bronson and watch his recovery progress. I could not be happier with our decision to put our sons heart in Dr. Nigro's hands.

Dr. Nigro did all 3 of my daughters surgeries. First one being at 5 days old. After her last open heart at the age of three we were told Dr. Nigro would being going to San Diego to work at Radys. If my daughter need another surgery Dr. Nigro will be the only one to work on her.

Dr. Nigro saved our son! We were told our baby had a slim chance of surviving his CHD. For the first two months of his life, we could not find a surgeon in AZ that would preform the operation he desperately needed. Dr. Nigro accepted his case from Radys in San Diego. We were transferred out to CA and we received the highest quality of care. Dr. Nigro was involved from the very beginning. He visited our son 1-2 times a day. He provided a sense of comfort and hope that we had never received before. His confidence set us as ease and helped us get through an incredibly difficult time. Originally we were planning on a mitral valve replacement. Fortunately, Dr. Nigro was able to repair the valve with minimal invasion. After surgery, he stayed involved in our son’s recovery. He is very connected with his patients and he cares deeply about them and the family. Dr Nigro made sure we were connected with a trusted pediatrician and specialist in our area. We will follow Dr Nigro anywhere he goes!

Dr. Nigro is an extremely talented and skilled heart surgeon. Not only did he save the life of my grandson needing a mitral valve repair in Jan 2019, he also saved the life of my granddaughter who had an aorta coarctation in Aug 2010. I can never repay Dr. Nigro for the amazing job he did taking care of these children. He is compassionate, kind, and uses his amazing skills for good. I highly recommend Dr. Nigro!

He made mistake after mistake on my child and literally got away with her passing away from all the mistakes he made. This man stood by for three days as my daughter coded over and over again because he kinked her coronary artery during a mitral valve repair and caused other damage that could not be fixed. He was cold as ice. never said sorry or even acted like he cared. I have talked with many parents from AZ that had to take their child out of state for repairs after having him work on them.
