Dr. Newcomer still doesn't listen and my interactions with his office reinforce that thought. Look for a different sleep doctor.

After 2 full pulmonary test sets, 4 months of monitoring peak flows and 2 CT scans, I still have no answers. He just wanted to argue with me about what I didn't do or how I did the peak flows. Very frustrating. Office staff is nice and pulmonary tests are through but doctor is a different story.

Dr. Newcomer has extremely poor bedside manners. He also spends appointment time doing dictation with a voice recorder during the appointment. He was cold, rude and treated me like I was a student from the 1950's. I left the appointment confused about my medical care and literally in tears.

My experience with this office, including his PA Jennifer Van Winkle, is that they do not listen to their patients. I spent months insisting that I was not getting sufficient oxygen with my CPAP and they refused to listen to me and refused to order any testing and a year later – an entire year without sleep – they finally agreed and sure enough I wasn't Getting enough oxygen with my CPAP. I have other examples that are similar in dealing with this office, but I won't get into it here.

I've never met the guy, but I'm convinced he's not interested in treating sick people. I've been trying to get an appt with him for two months. I've provided his staff with consults, x-rays, lab reports (two-week delay for that because it didn't occur to them to look in the x-ray envelope the first time I brought it in), & an allergist's report & CT scan confirming mold infection plus a 2-cm mystery nodule. Now he wants a lung function test before he'll see me, & there's a 7-wk wait for that.

Dr. Newcomer was extremely thorough, with a very warm, caring demeanor. We discussed numerous facets of my health to provide a clear understanding of my pulmonary concerns, and to develop an effective treatment plan. He recommended several analytical tests to monitor for several months, after which I will return for a followup visit. I feel very confident in Dr. Newcomer's competence and ability. I highly recommend him.
