I had my first appointment yesterday and while I thought he was listening at the beginning of my appointment I soon began to realize he checked out early. He did not accurately report what my issue was and immediately focused on my weight being the issue at hand and ignored the fact it stemmed from a injury. He had little bedside manner as I felt dismissed and once I read his visit summary it very well explained that he immediately formed his decision for care off of my weight. As that is not what caused this injury. I will be asking to see another opinion outside of the Marshall Hospital field as this is the third Specialist that has focused on my weight rather than the injury through this facility. I feel my issue was gravely dismissed and tossed aside as though my life does not matter. I will not return and I do not recommend this Dr to anyone.

I am super pleased with Dr. Montorello! He is knowledgeable, compassionate, trustworthy and very professional. I went to see him about my enlarged prostate and my concerns. He conducted a biopsy, which was done very professionally. Upon going back for results he was very professional and explained to me the results with kindness. I will likely be seeing him often over the coming years. I am very happy with this Doctor!

My husband went to him for prostate biopsy. Turn out he said he had inherited Prostate Cancer from his father without doing a test find out for sure. All he was interested in was surgery and radiation. My primary sent me to the top doctor at the University of San Francisco. Found out it was not inherited and put me on watch and wait. There is big bucks for this kind of surgery. This guy is very cold.

Our 79 year old father came in to see Dr. Montorello and after the consult was not "clicking" with him. When we called to schedule the next appointment, we asked to see the other doctor in the same office. We were told they do not see each others patients. A few weeks later we had an emergency and called to come in and see Dr. Montorello, we were told our father could not schedule any appointments with Dr. Montorello and we would have to find another Urologist . No reasons given for denial!!!

This guy is a hack. I went to him because of shriveled testicle that was painful. His response was what do you care (because I am 66 yo). He has no regard for his patients and is a terrible doctor. Avoid this hack!

Dr. Monterello is my second urologist. I am a very experienced patient and have found him to be very knowledgeable and personable. He answers all questions thoroughly, explaining options as we go along. I have had several surgeries with Dr. Monterello, all of which have been successful. I believe my situation to be unique and complicated and Dr. Monterello has worked hard to avoid removing a kidney, which is our last resort. He has my total trust and confidence.

Reckless and dismissive. Does poor work. Why aren't there more urologists in EDC?

Dr. Montarello may have a stellar CV, but he is likely the most condescending doctor I've ever met. In sharp contract to other medically terrific and personable docs at Marshall, he needs a lesson in communicating with the elderly. They deserve respect - not contempt.

I have several kidney stones and I was hoping to get some type of treatment/prevention plan from Dr Monterello. Instead I was talked down to, told that my pain was not from kidney stones, but from constipation. (Not constipated at all) He was extremely condescending and dismissive, I have never had such an awful experience with a doctor before.

A little sarcastic in answering one of my questions and did not fully explain. I ended up getting more of an understanding of the situation from another urologist's blog post on google.
