VA insurance
Appointment refused. This doctor does not accept or treat veterans utilizing VA community care insurance coverage. Reason unknown. Numerous private practice doctors, specialty clinics and hospitals in the Grays Harbor, Olympia, Puyallup and Tacoma area accept and desire to assist veterans and provide excellent service. There has never been a problem with authorizations, scheduling, billing or payments to the medical facilities. Why would a doctor not want to assist and support veterans that have pledged a portion of their life to serve our country? This doctor accepts 35 other types of insurance. I live over 100 miles from a VA hospital so I rely on my earned community care privleges. Some vets are homeless or have limited incomes due to numerous factors and only have the VA to fall back on. I can only assume this doctor and his office staff have had difficulty working with the VA in the past, have had difficulty with the forms involved or just have disdain for veterans in general.

Dr. Miller is really good. I've had a few wonderful doctors in my life, and Dr. Miller is one of them. His "bedside manner" is kind and thoughtful. The most precious part, I think, is that he leaves me feeling like I'm a human who has just dealt with another human. Unlike many doctors, he doesn't talk down to patients or other doctors or his staff. Dr. Miller also doesn't rush through a visit. Beyond that, he seems to know his stuff really well. He is also willing to help where he can. I repeat what others have said about him: It would be nice if more doctors were like him.
