Dr. John Meehan Jr, MD

Dr. Meehan was uneventful and dismissive during our consolultation. He repeatedly spoke over me while I was expressing concerns and perspective.

Arrogant, doesn’t listen, gaslights and degrades patients

This doctor was very insincere and couldn’t care less about your pain. I wasn’t there asking for meds because everything I have taken in the past didn’t help. He seemed like he just wanted to move on to the next patient to get that extra dollar. I prefer someone who cares or at least acts like they care and isn’t so arrogant.

Very poor experience. He was arrogant and rude. It was obvious he could cared less about me. Waste of time.

Came to uc davis for a second opinion, with xrays from my doctor. they insisted on taking more, and then after not even really looking at them charged over 7 times what my doctor charged. they need to disclose this pricing up front, this was unneccesary, and i would not have gone. doctor looked at my records and said too many ops on knee already, nothing more could be done. seems like he should have consulted with me first BEFORE ordering these outrageously priced and unnessary xrays. will never go to uc davis again.

I drove four hours to get to this man not doctor. He was the worst man I have ever seen medically speaking. He cannot call him self a professional! He can in and maybe spent 5 min with me. While snot hung from his nose. I came in because two other surgeons said amputate legs, he said come back when they shatter. Like what the heck! Trying to communicate with him through PP is a joke. Even his poor receptionist was writing me emails that didn’t pertain to my legs. She was writing about my hips like ????? I couldn’t give a ZERO star

Only 1 star because I couldn't give zero. Dr. Meehan was incredibly rude, spent very little time and did not bother to discuss options such as Physical Therapy etc. Have never had such a horrible experience with a doctor in my whole life! Avoid if at all possible.

Dr.Meehan is one of the worst physicians I have ever met. Condescending, rude and thinks so highly of himself that he seems to have forgotten that the limbs he does surgery on are actually attached to humans. Go anywhere else but here. He is not worth the time or the negativity.
