Dr. John McCormick, MD

Dr McCormick is a great primary care doctor. he is an expert in medications. He is very approachable and takes time to answer my questions. His team responds quickly on MyChart.I trust him!-Ed DatzTampa

His diagnostic skills are outstanding. His knowledge and communication skills are the best. He is available and accessible to his patients and their family. His lead Medical Assistant Jessica is second to none, she is the best. His LPN Sonya supports him in every aspect.

Use to be my primary on recommendation from another trusted doctor. I switched after three visits. He is charming and funny which I'm sure makes him a favorite as a pediatrician however as an adult with a complex problem I don't need to be pandered to, talked down to or dismissed. I need to be told honestly if a doctor understands my disease and the side effects of my medications at the first visit, not told they don't at the third. I need the doctor to remember which labs he ordered and actually check them within three months time, not told he never ordered them when his name is right in the lab results. I need a doctor to collaborate with other doctors in the USF group. I need a doctor who cares and pays attention. It's possible it's not actually his fault, that he's extremely overworked, as is obvious because of the attitude of his office staff and the two plus hour wait time. But one case his decision was actually dangerous. At this point I can't even recommend taking child to him

My doctor for years now. I am 100% happy to have him as my doctor. Always available to answer my questions and is very knowledgeable. He is by far the best of the best.

Wonderful Physician who really cares about his patients. Good bedside manner and easy to talk to. He treats my entire family age range teens to midlife. Office can have long waits but he also teaches the Resident MD’s with USF. So be patient but it’s worth it to be in his practice.

Rather than being interested in the health of the patient this doctor prescribes drugs that are not needed by the patient. Unnecessary medications would likely cause a slide from good health into poor health.

Dr McCormick is EXCELLENT. I've been going to him for a long time. He is an excellent doctor and his rapport with others (the patient and staff members) is always outstanding. 2 thumbs up!!

Had my first visit to Dr. McCormick's office today and was quite pleased. There was very little waiting compared to most other doctors. Everything was efficient and everyone in this office was both friendly and informative, including Dr. McCormick. I was very happy that I made this choice.

Dr. M is wonderful! I did wait for a bit for him in the room, but now I know why and worth it! New patient visit with him - he spent the better part of an hour with me. He listens, asks relevant questions, gives meaningful info and instructions at the right level for the patient. I'm a nurse, but he still had new and meaningful information to share. Answered all my questions, addressed my various concerns, got a plan in motion with a referral, e-prescription, blood work orders... YES!
