When I was in 4th grade around 1978, it was discovered that I had a congenital condition which was causing one of my organ's to atrophy, requiring surgery. It was an unusual situation, and, according to my understanding, only one similar surgery like it had been performed in the history of the hospital at that time. Dr. Lipson comforted and informed me and my family, showing the utmost in professionalism, care, and concern. I left that situation in good health and with full capacity. It was, in part, his persistence in working hard to discover what, exactly, was going on with my body that certainly saved my life.
