If I could leave a zero I would
As a senior citizen, I resent being treated like a child. The man did not listen at all well and very rudely lectured me on shutting up and listening to him, even to the point of policing my expressions. I could not speak or move my face without a negative comment, not just on my action, but on my character. Perhaps it is just me being rubbed the wrong way, but having worked in local hospitals twenty years, I've never met a ruder doctor, or one who appeared to care so little about my well being.

Dr. Karup has quality interactions, professional and to the point. Sometimes slightly rushed but if asked additional questions is always available to elaborate and provide more details to answer questions. Has provided several referrals to good specialists when needed who are reputable and carry similar professional traits. Would recommend to individuals or Family care doctor.

Dr John Kurap is our go to doctor for all our medical needs, from primary care to skin needs. Dr Kurap has moved his office to 64-1035 Mamalahoa Hwy Suite F, a pretty office that is clean and modern. His reception staff and nurse staff are friendly and helpful. I recommend him to friends and clients.

Terrible bedside manner. Poor eye contact. Does not take time to answer our family's questions. In a hurry. Does not explain anything. Demeaning behavior like he is too good for us local folks.

Rude, condescending, and in my opinion, not up to date on his medicine. Rushed, careless, and forgetful. Quick to prescribe anti-depressants instead of looking for the real problem. He actually screamed at my husband on one of his visits, and suggested I should move back to the mainland on mine. We are both very happy with our new doctor.

Long message before you can leave a message; no answering phone during business hours; no follow through by Doctor or the staff in promised scheduling of tests (twice). Doctor's listening skills suspect. Doctor not available to address complaints. Inefficiency by Staff and/or Doctor.

would not recommend Dr. Kurap. He did not follow up with scheduling a referral to a specialist in a timely manner! Had to endure the pain over several days in order to follow up myself, and was unable to contact his office. Inexperienced in my opinion, or just lacking in concern! They hold the key to follow ups and there's not much a patient can do if the doctor either doesn't follow up himself, or at least call the patient to stay in touch until they can. How hard to call?
