Dr. John Koleth, MD

Dr. Koleth has helped me tremendously. He is the only dr. In years to actually give me a diagnosis on record, making it easier to treat symptoms. He always asks how I'm doing & not just how does the medication feel. He has always been patiant. I'm grateful I found him.

Okay, my grandson needs to be in a home, he is severely schizophrenic and getting him in a home has been impossible.

I asked him some questions why I am mentally ill. I told him that I don't hear any voices. I am not suicidal. I found him very confused when he told me that I am a genius like John Nash, the Nobel Laureate in Economics. John Nash is also schizophrenic, but John Nash's schizophrenia reached his peak after he completed his Ph.D. Nobel Prize thesis at Princeton University. He told me that I am completely normal, but I need medication. When we reduced my medication, I don't feel very confused anymore even though everyone including my doctors are more confused than myself. I felt my doctors wanted me to end my retirement where I go back to work as an engineer. They seemed to have no interest in my happiness. I wish my doctors can be like the Robin Williams' psychiatrist character who wanted the Matt Damon character to be happy in the movie 'Good Will Hunting.' Dr. Koleth has no interest in my happiness until I find a good job. He is like the professor in the movie 'Good Will Hunting.'
