I started seeing Dr. Kirkland a few years ago. I hadn't found a vascular specialist that I liked in Atlanta where I live, so I travel all the way to Rome to see Dr. Kirkland. He is well worth the drive. On my first visit, I was surprised when he asked me to tell him a little about myself. No doctor had ever done that before. He cares about the whole person and not just what he is treating you for. I can't recommend him enough. He takes his time with patients and makes sure all questions are answered. He is not only a skilled vascular surgeon, but he is also a kind, wonderful person.
