Indifferent
My husband was assigned to Dr Kane as an ICUadmit through the emergency room. Without ever meeting him the Dr changed his cardiac meds. We had just been to the cardiologist recently and reviewed the meds. Dr Kane discharged him without asking if his symptoms had improved or gotten worse. We told the nurse we had questions about his meds and would like to talk to the doctor before leaving. She called him and instead of coming to talk with us he told her to tell us to stay on the cardiac meds. After speaking with the nursing manager about how unhappy we were with the care and that we would follow up with his general physician and cardiologist so we didn't want Dr Kane to come in. We shouldn't have to BEG to be seen by the "admitting" doctor. Dr Kane did come in after that but we were so disgusted by his lack of care I told him to leave the room.

I have been a patient of both John and Megan Kane since (I think) they opened their practice at 2 Quincy. They have both been very thorough, professional, and caring practitioners. Since I retired and no longer work in the area and now live over an hour away, I will unfortunately be going to a new PCP closer to my home.

My experience with Dr Kane (and his front desk staff) are pretty positive. He doesn't seem as rushed as other doctors I've had and the waiting times are generally tolerable. Dr Kane was on the more interactive side of my experience, taking time to communicate (both ways) my issues and his diagnosis. He doesn't chit chat and gets right to business, but there's nothing wrong with that. That said, whoever he has doing the phone calls is, well, rude. She has called me a number of times, once to say she would cut off my asthma prescription if I didn't make an appointment with her right away, then I told her I LITERALLY HAD AN APPOINTMENT SCHEDULED FOR THAT THURSDAY, and she acted like I was lying?!? So my rating is for the doctor and his front desk. If I could give a seperate rating for his phone call person, well, it wouldn't be so good.

I’m in excellent shape but John Kane still says I have to get blood work. I’m 62 years old and he doesn’t care if I don’t feel comfortable doing that with the pandemic. I have a very minor prescription . He’s all about getting the insurance money and doesn’t care about the patients

My husband and I have been very longtime patients of Dr John and Megan Kane. I have never seem to have difficulty getting an appointment. I have not had to wait for more than 10 or 15 minutes in the waiting room. I have seen both Docs thru the years and they have always listened to me. My husband has also expressed that he has good experience when he goes and he hates going to any doc appts.

I have come here for 25 plus years and was happy with the service until they sold the practice about 5 years ago. The staff is rude and unprofessional at the front desk and Dr. John and Meghan don't know why any of the patients are there because they don't read your chart before seeing you. John said he dosen't have time to read my chart. If you can't take 2 minutes to look at why your patients are there and make some sort of effort as a human and professional to be present and caring, you have lost what it means to be a doctor. I am leaving and do not recommend anyone to consider these doctors as a reliable health care physician. If you are still there as a patient leave because they don't care.

Recently my father has been having some pain in his hip. He called the office to see if he could be seen, receptionist of course gave an attitude but gave him an appointment. Didn't acknowledge him when he came to pick up the script for his xray. Went to jefferson aria hospital to have the xray and got a call back saying, they believe it's mild arthritis and there's nothing they can do. Told him to just take two asprin everyday. They don't care about what their patients are going through.

Office staff is rude and refused to make a same day sick appointment and suggested I go to urgent care without even asking of symptoms...or my name for that matter. Time for a new PCP....long overdue actually

If I could give this place a negative star I would. Nicole, the rude and miserable girl at the front desk is enough to make you pay the new patient fee at another doctor. Which is exactly what I'll be doing.

Doctor moves fast - feels as if he has a hundred people to get to (which I'm OK with - I am all about 'here's what I think it is and here's how to fix'), but I can see some people not liking that . Overall a nice guy. Getting an appt is usually semi-difficult. Same day is a fight. Receptionist is a pill - surprised every time I see her there - wondering how she is still there.
