Dr. John Hinson, MD

I have been using Dr Hinson for about 10 years now. He has replaced both my shoulders. I can honestly tell you he and his team has been GREAT. His patience and compassion for his patients is above and beyond. I on the other hand, know I have been a difficult patient at times..but he hangs in there with me and all goes well. Not only do I consider him my Dr but also my friend. I owe him more than he knows. He is not only a great Dr but also a great person. A big shout out to Dr Pettersen and Dr Cooney as well and they have great with us as well. PBOI has been and always will be our orthopedic go to all our orthpedic needs. Thats guys for all your help, patience and kindness. Mark and Janet Hines.

Fantastic surgeon. Little or no pain day one after reverse shoulder surgery. Full range of arm motion after 3 months. Excellent and caring staff.

I have had 3 post op appointments and each time I have waited over an hour. Seems like his time is the only thing that is valuable. Also, the staff is very dismissive. There is nothing worse than someone giving you a big ole fake smile. So not helpful. Very disappointing

… Dr. Hinson's lack of care, compassion, and outright dismissal of my wife's injuries and needs is both deplorable and inexcusable. His examination solely relied on what he thought happened to her, the X-rays she provided, with no additional tests conducted. In addition, he failed to offer any home care instructions, leaving her feeling abandoned and confused in managing her injury. The financial expense of $600 for this visit has proven fruitless, compelling us to search for a different specialist who truly understands the meaning of patient care.Do NOT trust this smile, his actions speak louder than his smile. He has not embraced the responsibility entrusted to him to provide compassionate care. We are very disappointed and disturbed and urge others to think twice before entrusting their well-being to Dr. Hinson and this practice.

Excellent surgeon, performed Rt shoulder arthroscopic surgery. Kept family members informed throughout and took his time with explanations during post op visits. Kind and reassuring..

Dr. Hinson was great. He repaired my distal bicep tendon. He was comprehensive and spent time answering all questions. The surgery went well. The Palm beach Orthopaedic office is the reason for the 3 star rating. Wait times are an issue, book morning appointments. I would definitely not recommend purchasing or allowing them to provide any post operative equipment. They will charge 3 to 4 times over what the cost will be from another supplier.

I just love Dr. Hinson and Lana they are just so down to earth and so caring and they helped me immensely and I really appreciated everything that they did he’s a wonderful wonderful doctor

Dr. John Hinson, Lana M.A. recently did my rotator surgery (so far so good!). Office visits 1 hour wait time, but Dr. is pleasant and takes time to answer questions (glad he expanded to Jupiter location). Needs to have written material explaining surgery and post-op instructions.

Not a good experience

Dr Hinson was absolutely excellent! He answered all of my and my wife’s questions and performed posterior labral repair on my shoulder flawlessly. After the surgery, I was in excruciating pain, called in the middle of the night to the office and left a message, he called me an hour later to see what was wrong. I had better pain medicine the next day! I could not recommend a better Shoulder surgeon in the Palm Beach area, I couldn’t see how anyone could have an issue with him?

Dr. Hinson used his medical /surgical abilities on my right shoulder while practicing at what Augustans call MCG. I believe my case was considerably more complex than 80% of his patients. It was not an experience I would want to go through again but I have full use of my shoulder with no limitations years later. He listens and cares for his patients. I have only one regret...he left Augusta before I was ready to have surgery on my left shoulder. Don’t know if I can make it to Florida. Thank you.
