Dr. Hendrix did not do a good job of informing me of the best way to treat my condition. He gave me medicine, and said it would take at least a year to start really healing me. I was expecting some kind of diet advice, etc. I go through stages of a lot of pain and fatigue, where my medicine isn't helping. When I bring it up in my appointments with him, he seems unconcerned and tells me to just wait a few years and I will eventually get better. I am changing doctors because I do not feel like I am receiving the care I need. However, I do appreciate what he has done for me up until this point.

I have been a patient of Dr. Hendrix since 1983 (age 7). He and his staff are nothing less than exceptional. I've never experienced any issues. He has always been honest, caring and genuinely concerned about my health. I have scopes every other year. With the ratio of patients being extremely higher than physicians, one must be understanding & sometime persistent with a doctor's staff. I will be his patient until he retires!

Why I thought Dr. Hendrix is a good Doctor. It is very difficult to get a person on the phone. I had an appointment they call and needed me to reschedule. I attempted 3 times to reschedule the appointment. Every time I called I had to leave a message and no one returned my calls. My last call to them was to try and pay my bill and once again I left a message and no returned call. I finally just mailed my payment and I'm looking for a new doctor now.

I was admitted through the emergency room at Jackson's Hospital. He was contacted and he didn't seem concerned since I was admitted through the hospital and not his patient. He did not inform me of what to do about my situation and now I have to consult another doctor for a second opinion.

When I call his office always need to leave a message and cannot talk to anyone. Never get a call back. I have been trying to schedule a colon exam without success. Will change Doctors as I need an exam on regular basis due to family history. Very disappointed that I cannot get a return call. Been with this group for over 20 years but changing today, and will not recommend. Never been to the office always at hospital.
