He disregarded cardiologist recommendations
Cardiologist wanted my husband to be admitted for more testing on his heart but Dr. Hartweger said I'm in charge here your being discharged right now. Later we found out he changed some of his heart meds! We are contacting the cardiologist to go over all medications before we just do what this this Dr. Hartweger says. Not happy with this doctor at all!!!

Dr. Hartweger was the doctor who oversaw my mom's care at Barnes Jewish St. Peters Hospital this past week. He was kind, compassionate and knowledgeable. He was very thorough and addressed all of the health issues she had. I really appreciate that he took the time to explain things and answered all of our questions.

Absolutely unable to get in touch with him after release of my wife from BJC St Peters. No way to leave a message or contact him in any way. Not yet received the insurance form I left him and no way to contact him. Very very displeased with him and will have to contact the hospital administrator.

Dr. Hartweger was the doctor assigned to our mother when she was admitted to Barnes Jewish St. Peters Hospital on an emergency basis. He saw to it that she had excellent care and was great dealing with her and keeping the family informed. When it came time for her to be released to a rehab center, her insurance refused to pay, saying her condition didn't warrant it. Dr. Hartweger made a personal call to the insurance provider to more thoroughly explain her condition and they reversed their decision. We are very grateful to him for his care and concern.

It took him over two hours after he told my mother she could go home from the hospital before he completed the paperwork. Why do doctors think your time has no value???
