Total hip replacement
I needed an orthopedic surgeon for painful and debilitating hip pain and I was so worried about surgery. Dr John Hardcastle was honest and informative about my condition. The office was able to schedule surgery within a month, which would allow enough recovery time to attend my daughter’s wedding. He called me the night before to answer any of my questions and to reassure me that all would be fine. Surgery was a success! My recovery was just as he said it would be, as I was willing to follow his instructions. Drs surgical hospital team was absolutely wonderful. His nurses Liz and Beth in the office are compassionate and take time to speak to you. If you need hip surgery, this is an experienced excellent surgeon and physician. He is confident, intuitive and kind with a sense of humor. Best of all, everyone was amazed at my recovery when I danced at our daughter’s wedding! God bless you !!!!

Top of the Line Orthopedic Specialist!
One of the things that stood out to me was the phone call the night before the surgery. I'm sure he does the same with all of his patients, but the call was so re-assuring. Dr. Hardcastle is an expert, and backs up his expertise with his engaging and humorous personality. I was instantly comfortable after speaking with him. The surgery went very well as expected and three weeks after surgery, I no longer need the cane and will go back to the gym tomorrow morning for light upper body workouts. For such a young doctor, the man is an expert and I highly recommend to anyone considering hip replacement surgery to look up Dr. Hardcastle. In fact if my second him starts to have issues (hopefully not), I will go right back to Dr. Hardcastle.

Play Ball!
I am pleased to report that because of Dr. Hardcastle's expertise, I have recently completed my High School Softball schedule without pain and with the ability to run and perform all my umpire responsibilities. He literally put me back on my feet. I know who to my "go-to" guy is should I need ANYTHING else replaced!

I wish I could give Dr.Hardcastle more stars! I have had 3 different replacements by him, my recovery time with each surgery was quick and I felt like a new person after being in severe pain. He has a great bedside manor, makes you feel like you’ve known him forever! I wouldn’t go to any other Dr. For my hip & knee replacements.

2 hip replacements within one month
the surgeon did a total hip replacement using the wrong hardware for me, it then dislocated 5-6 times 1 month to the day he did what he calls a revision ,which is nothing more then another total replacement, during the second surgery, he cut or stretched a nerve leaving me with drop foot, which i will have the rest of my life.

Dr. Hardcastle operated on my hip which was made more difficult by the femor head and neck being ground down to bone on bone. He expeditiously scheduled the operation for Sept 10 and the results were very successful. He was very kind in notifying me and my wife about the surgery before and after . Just finished a follow up after two weeks and again was very kind in every way . Can only recommend him as the best possible Hip Surgeon around. My recovery is going very successful because of his expert surgery.

We were very pleased with Dr John Hardcastle & his staff for treatment for hip pain. My husband, Chad, started seeing Dr Hardcastle over 3 years ago for cortisone shots. 2 weeks ago he had hip replacement surgery with him. We would highly recommend him.

I saw him a couple of years ago for a hip problem in both hips. After investigating, exams and tests he sent me to a specialist in NYC. The specialist's treatment only helped for a couple of years and it became apparent I needed a double hip replacement. The Dr in the city recommended I come back up close to home for the replacements and am I glad I did. I went back to Dr. Hardcastle. I'm now in between surgeries and I cannot believe how well I'm doing and neither can any of my friends or family
