Dr. John Greenfield III, MD

2008 Dr. Greenfield III saved my leg after a tibial plateau fx that required surgery. He put several screws and a titanium plate in my leg, and told me it should last 5 years. Well, it's going on 26 years and still working well. Thank you Dr. Greenfield for doing such a great job! Jan Bird

When you have a surgery for the first time, you would expect a physician to properly review your x-rays and fully disclose possible outcomes of surgery. This physician does not fully disclose information. He misled us to believe the surgery would be a simple procedure for our 13 year old and it turned out a second surgery would be required. I would expect the physician to have the courtesy to communicate this “unforeseen” outcome in person, but he calls you on your cell as you are waiting in the waiting room. For patients that have a love for sports or physical activity, I feel he lacks compassion and does not understand the importance of a rehabilitation plan. You have to know to ask specific questions and for services, this MD is not forthcoming with information, so make sure you have a medical background if you go with this physician so you know exactly what to ask and what to expect. I would not recommend.

He did a partial arthroscopy which just made things more painful when what I needed was a complete shoulder replacement which I am now having done by someone else. First surgery was a complete waste of time and caused me more pain and he is now not available to talk to and no one will tell me why.

Great doctor and superb bedside manner.
