My experience has been nothing short of amazing. I spent 3 years at NPI and felt like I was on an assembly line with no diagnosis or plan. Dr. Gernert ran tests immediately and explained the results thoroughly. His subsequent treatment plan has changed my life for the better. I highly recommend him.

My wife has suffered back pain for some time. We were referred to Dr Gernert who immediately took charge of her problem. Initially, he did an X-ray and administered a shot which helped but he was determined to find the underlying problem and resolve it. He did just that by arranging an MRI appointment the same day and personally calling her the next day and stating “I found it”. Come in tomorrow, and I’ll fix it. Did he? Yes. The pain is gone.We were especially impressed with the quick response, quick solution and very caring personality.If you need pain management, we would highly recommend him and his office staff. They all cared, and it showed.

I fed neuropathy before I saw the doctor Garnett for probably 10 years. I’ve been to all kind of doctors given all kind of medicines and nothing seem to work and nobody seemed to cure. I was referred to this doctor Garnett and he was very pleasant. Very empathetic he said he would take care of me and lo and behold. I put all my trust in him and he did take care of me. He gave me different medication‘s. If they didn’t work, you gave me another one gave me a spine stimulator. He was so kind and caring that after hours he called me and asked me how I was doing and he came to my house and he removed it at my house so I wasn’t in Discomfort. It was reinstalled for good and I continue to go to the doctor. I recommended to my daughter and several other people because I trust him and I like him very much as well as his staff very courteous professional and I wouldn’t go with nobody else. Thank you.

Dr. Gernert will do and say anything to make money. He acts Christian will pray with you and then lie to your face. He follows no protocols, treats you like a child, berates you in front of other patients. His medical records contain misinformation. I was there for a spinal cord stimulator trial. I have spoken to Jeremy, Liz and Amaya in his office and he refuses to change anything them. I have the records that he took the leads out. I fired him on the spot. I contacted Abbott for another doctor and they would not provide one. I told the Abbott representative I would go to a hospital to have them taken out.. There were no vitals taken, and there is no signed authorization for the procedure.. Liz took the leafs out and Jeremy checked the would site. If you care about your health, find another doctor to do a spinal cord stimulator.. you have no protection without vitals being taken and no authorization.

I met with Dr. Gernert this week for the first time and I was impressed. He was warm, open and explained my condition to me in easy to understand terms. He listened to me and did not rush; it was a two-way conversation. You don't find that too often. His staff was very welcoming and friendly.

I went to see Dr. Gernert for a pain management consult as a result of my lower back and leg pain. Everyone in the office was great and Dr. Gernert was great as well. He explained my MRI results to me (and gave me more information than I expected...more than what I received with my OrthoSurgeon consult) and took his time explaining what would go on with my pain management appointments. I highly recommend Dr. Gernert and this office.

He changed my life. After decades of living with chronic back and leg pain due to a Spinal Cord Injury, he diagnosed the issue , listened to me, arranged the installation of a State of the Art Neurotransmitter and subsequently cut my pain med needs by 75%. What more can you ask if your “Pain Management” Doctor?

I worked for a medical office company and we referred patients to this specialist. After finding my health issues related with my back, I read the reviews and did and appt to see Dr G for the first time. He was very thrilled and took time to explain in simple terms my condition and his plan. Their front staff - Mr Jeremy and Ms Judy were also super amazing and very helpful since day one. Also, his female medical assistant was very helpful, I did not want to mistype her name, I apologize in advance. Is an amazing office and they do make you feel part of their family and feel better about whatever your situation might be! I highly recommend Dr. Gernert for your pain and back needs. Now I saw for myself why he is our doctor of choice, now see it for yourself, you won’t be disappointed!

The doctor and the staff are very caring and friendly. I've had back problems for at least 10 years and doctor Gernert has been the only doctor that has been able to help with the pain. I had two injections in my back over a two week period and I felt like a new man. I highly recommend this doctor and his staff.

I’ve had several back surgeries and chronic lower back pain since I was 11 years old. I was in a body cast for 6 months, a fusion, had rods put in my spine and bone removed from my hip. I’ve spent most of my life in serious pain. In 2020 I had just turned 37 and started to use a rolling walker to go out. I had been to dozens of specialist including Mayo Clinic with no results. May of 2023 I was ready to end my life. The pain was a 10 all day and night. When I called my doctor about this she recommended Dr. Gernert. He got me in the same day. First Doctor in over 30 years to actually listen to me. Dr. Gernert preformed a DRG implant trail. It lasted about 5 days and took away 80% of my pain! I almost lost my life because I didn’t think anyone would ever be able to help me. If anyone is suffering from chronic pain I urge you to see Dr. Gernert and participate in this trail. He truly is a life saver.

Dr. Gernert is the absolute best! After suffering for 2 1/2 years with excruciating back and neck pain, following an accident, I finally found him. I had three surgeries, including a spinal stimulator and relief was minimal. Dr. Gernert was determined to help me get out of pain. My daughter has had chronic back pain since she was 22 years old. After 17 years of pain, seven spinal fusion surgeries, every pain med, painful procedures, therapies and trials…we meet Dr. Gernert. He actually called us back the same day, as his staff said he would, to talk about a procedure we had never heard of before. After so many disappointments, my daughter did not want to try another trial, however Dr. Gernert was so confident and attentive (before we even made the two hour drive to his office) that she agreed to have him do this DRG trial. I was seeing a another local Pain Management Dr for quite a few years. After many disappointments, being lied to, scheduling errors, on and on and on. I had enough. The last time I left the office in tears. My surgery was canceled after I arranged for someone to drive me and stay with me at my home for the week!

I was referred to Orlando Pain Centers of Excellence to see Dr. John Gernert by Orlando Neurosurgery.I was once again disappointed that I would have to see another physician. As I have already seen 11 different docs through the years to help with my severe back pain. But the moment I went through the door of Dr. Gernert;s office I felt something different. A peace and hope that I have never experienced in any office before! For me, hope is a big deal! The horrible pain that I have lived with every day for 20+years has taken a very heavy toll on me and especially on my family.Through the years I tried every medication, injection & treatment known and nothing helped. The very 1st visit Dr. G told me he could help me with a spinal cord stimulator. I told Dr. G I was not a candidate and that other docs had tried but had to abandon the scs trial due to my bad spine. Dr G just smiled and said he would get it, and guess what He did! It worked great and now I am mostly pain free! Wow Wow Wow!

Dr. Gernert is a new doctor for me. I've had experiences with other pain management doctors who weren't able to help and told me "there's nothing more I can do for you" or "we'll do that next time", which didn't help me at all. Dr. Gernert never says things like that. He tells me he will do what it takes to improve my situation. He talks with me as though he's known me forever and considers me a friend. What a breath of fresh air! I've even had discussions with him about other health issues that concern me and he's been receptive to advising me with those as well. He has set up his office with soothing colors and a large screen TV with dolphins swimming and other relaxing videos which "soothe the soul". The floors in the office absolutely shine, leaving no doubt about the cleanliness required and appreciated. I always leave feeling good after experiencing a positive visit with Dr. Gernert and his staff, who also are friendly and helpful.

So let me start by saying that it is RARE to find a Dr. that puts his patients well being AHEAD of all else. Dr. John Gernert is top notch. He is attentive and beyond caring and actually listens. He is honest and will go to every length to achieve relief. Dr. Gernert has been exhaustive in his attempts to help me. His care for my health and his compassion is A++++. Apparently, he has a stellar reputation, as every DR I have been in contact with that knows him, holds him in High regard. I have had back & spine issues for a long time. I've had several conditions in my hips, back and lower extremities. I've had several surgeries to the cervical & lumbar portions of my spine, including discectomies, laminectomies, and fusions. Pain is not your friend, but it is a relief to to know that a Dr. like him is there for you. I travel an hour to reach his office in Longwood Fl, but well worth it. You will be hard pressed to find a better pain management doctor. Highly recommended
