Great Physician
First saw Dr Gala as inpatient mid July. His bedside demeanor and professional attitude was excellent. I also had followup office visit and his caring personality and knowledge was very appreciated. He helped in saving my life the 2nd week of Sept after issues with open heart surgery. Truly appreciate his humbleness and knowledge. God puts just the right people where needed and he was one.

In May, 2020 I was diagnosed with severe aortic stenosis and referred to Dr. John Galla by Cardiology Associates in Foley. He discussed the necessary TAVR procedure with me in terms that I understood and I had total confidence in him. I was the 500th TAVR patient when he performed the procedure. Throughout the procedure, he and his team kept my spouse fully informed and encouraged her to call him on his personal phone if necessary. The next day I was released from Springhill having received the TAVR and a pacemaker in one day. Dr. Galla and his team did an outstanding job diagnosing, performing the procedure, and responding to an unforeseen emergency requiring a pacemaker. This recommendation is being written 3 weeks after my release and I am now active, exercising, and looking forward to a long healthy life. I've heard that old soldiers never die; they just fade away but this old soldier got a TAVR and pacemaker and carries on. I would recommend Dr. John Galla in a heartbeat!!

This was my first visit with Dr Galla following surgical test to look at my aortic valve. I was relieved when I was told I did not need a replacement now. This Follow up visit was reassuring because I felt very confident with him and he gave me the signs of what to watch for and how to reach him directly if I needed him. I felt the care I could receive closer to home was as good as Other locations that do the TAVR procedure. It was one of the best physician- patient interactions I have ever experienced.

My mom was becoming very sick and was being treated for COPD/asthma. After treatment for those did not make her better, her lung doctor referred her to Dr. Galla, thinking her symptoms were stemming from a heart issue and not a lung issue. Dr. Galla diagnosed her with aortic stenosis and, subsequently, performed the TAVR procedure on her. It’s been a little over a month since her surgery, and she is doing great! We give God the glory, and we are very thankful to Dr. Galla and Dr. Randy Dotson for their excellent care.

Absolutely the best cardiologist I have ever been associated with as a nurse. The time, care and treatment of his patients is superior. He puts the entire family at ease. His knowledge and ability to explain a patients medical condition to patients and their families is amazing. My 92 year old Mom feels safe and cared for as his patient.ost of my very large family have switched to him. Five stars is not even close to what he deserves in all areas.
