Simply The Best
I’ve purposely waited until one year from my quadruple bypass surgery to make this review, I can now unequivocally say that Dr. Galat and his team not only saved my life, but have changed it forever. Aside from being an extremely skilled surgeon Dr Galat is the most wonderfuly gentle and kind man, he made the whole process before and after smooth and as comfortable for me as is possible when one goes through such dramatic surgery. Thank you Dr Galat, I’m a new man and forever grateful to you.

My name is Walter Triffle, Dr. Galat performed quadruple bypass on me in 1999. I’m still kicking at 77! My experience with him was excellent. I’m glad to see he is still helping other people!

Dr. Galat is an amazing surgeon! He performed Open Heart Surgery on my 83 year old dad. My dad had a torn mitral valve and a leak in a second valve. Dr. Galat assured us he wouldn't offer surgery unless he was confident it would be successful. Dr. Galat squeezed us in for an appointment (because they were booked) during their lunch hour and fully explained the procedure and the possible risks. We walked out of his office feeling confident that we chose the correct doctor. Dr. Galat is compassionate, caring, and excellent at what he does! His nurse, Dawn was very helpful answering all of our questions every time we called. Dr. Galat saved my dad's life and I will be forever grateful!

Outstanding team. This team is professional, respectful; I owe the fact that I am still here to this group. They answered all my wife's questions and treated her with dignity. I would trust this group with my life; actually I did for open heart bypass.

If cardiac surgery is needed, Dr Galat and his team are the ones you want! My husband’s case is very complicated. So much so that we were warned in the ER we might not be able to find a surgeon who would take the case. Dr Galat reviewed the situation & not only agreed to take the case, but he brought confidence and assurances that went a long way in easing our minds. His bedside manner is second only to his amazingly wonderful surgical skills! His compassion & attention to detail is above and beyond. With my husband’s medical history, we’ve been in/out of hundreds of doctor offices, ERs & hospitals. I’ve never met a doctor who has impressed me the way Dr Galat has. He is meticulous in detail. He built a superb/finely tuned medical team. He communicates clearly & often. He’s so approachable, we never hesitated to ask questions. He is brutally honest yet upbeat even in the face of extremely challenging circumstances. He is a patient & attentive listener. 5 stars +++!!

I went to the hospital because I was experiencing burning in my lower chest. He explained that I did not have a choice, I needed quadruple bypass surgery. He was so caring and wanted to meet my daughters that flew in from Minnesota to be there for the surgery. He asked if it was OK to offer a prayer with us. That was so reassuring for my family that everything was going to be fine. He saved my life. I am well on the way to full recovery. At my follow up meeting with him, he asked if OK to offer a prayer with my wife and me for continued health. He is a very caring man and I have total confidence in him and his staff. I definitely would recommend him.

We are snowbirds to Florida and just never thought about establishing a patient/doctor relationship. Unfortunately, this year we encountered a medical emergency; and by the "grace of God", my husband had his surgery performed by Dr. John Galat. We agree 100% that we could not have asked for a more gifted and compassionate doctor. Thanks to Dr. Galat, my husband is doing great and has surprised everyone with his speedy recovery. God bless you, Dr. Galat.
