Dr. Fontaine saved my life. I believe that I was told in 2006 that I was his first AVNRT cryoablation patient. Prior to that, he was utilizing radio frequency ablation. I was working at St. Christopher's Hospital when I experienced an arrhythmia that would not stop. I met Dr. Fontaine at Hahnemann. It took 7 hours to finally ablate the pathway. It is almost 11 years and I have no arrhythmia. I think of him thankfully, often. He didn't give up and thank God I didn't need a pacemaker.
