Permanent brain damage from hemorrhagic stroke
This Doctor ignored my concerns and symptoms of gestational diabetes which lead to undiagnosed eclampsia, DVT, hemorrhagic stroke, PE with a saddle. The list goes on. At my appt 6 weeks from my due date, I had severe edema. He did not let me know I was in an emergency situation; instead he stripped my membranes without my permission which caused me to begin labor at home, where my water broke. He was all set to go on vacation so my birth trauma would have interfered with his fun. St. Joe’s then disregarded my high blood pressure and protein in my urine, repeatedly.

Dr Decker was great until I started having serious issues. I was diagnosed with endometriosis and he shrugged it off, said it couldn’t be causing my symptoms (spoiler alert, it was), and suggest I get pregnant to help. If I get pregnant to help my symptoms, I’m going to have 75 kids before I hit menopause. Very dismissive and misogynistic.

At the end of my annual he asked if I had any other questions. It was my first time seeing him, but I opened up and let him know that I’d been having pain and bleeding w/ sex for about a yr. He responded quickly w/ a short “use more lube!” then left the room w/o asking any other questions. I felt humiliated and so dismissed. I ended up seeing a new gyno a couple years later bc the pain was getting worse. Turns out it was pelvic inflammatory disease. Thank god for more thorough compassionate Drs.

Dr. Decker has been my OBGYN for near 12 years now. I first encountered him when he was partners with my original OBGYN, Dr. Palen. I went into premature labor (29 weeks) and Dr. Decker was the one who delivered her, he saved both mine and my daughter's lives that day. My son was high risk as well, and so is my daughter I am currently pregnant with, this has been a nightmare pregnancy and Dr. Decker and his staff have still managed to handle EVERYTHING AMAZINGLY and help put me at ease. Best Dr!

He was a fine doctor until I started having complications. I had my daughter early and he actually made disposable comments wishing ill on my tiny baby girl. He showed no compassion. I would not recommend him especially if you are high risk.

Dr. Decker was my oldest sisters OBGYN for her pregnancy. My sister knew how badly I was taken care of with my past ob-gyn for the beginning of my pregnancy, so she highly recommended me to switch to Dr. Decker. I was already having complications with my pregnancy, so I finally just listened to my older sister and switched. Switching to Dr. Decker was the absolutely, best decision that I could make during my pregnancy. Dr. Decker and his staff made me feel very comfortable and well-taken care of

This was actually my daughter's doctor but I went to most of her appointments to see him. He is really really good...the only drawback is that he comes highly recommended because so many people want to see him and sometimes he seems rushed and the wait times can be longer than other doctors. That being said...he is definitely worth the wait. His patience and care that he had with my daughter was fantastic. He also has the best nurses and staff members...I highly recommend him.
