Anxiety
He showed no care or concerns about my anxiety attacks. He was just rude on todayan I don't think I be seeing him anymore at Holly Hill Mental Health

Dr Custer continued where my retiring Dr left off . He really listened to my decade plus long history and what worked best for me. I was so thankful to find a new Dr willing listen as to what worked and what didn’t for me. He advised me of options that I had should I want to make changes but respected my current plan of treatment as long as I continued to do well. He keeps an eye on any unwanted side effects through questions at my visits which I appreciate. I’m doing very well and highly recommend Dr Custer.

I've been seeing Dr. Custer for almost seven years now. He is by far the most attentive and caring psychiatrist I have visited in over 20 years of dealing with depression. With his help, and my hard work my major depression is under control for the first time ever.

My husband went to dr custer, he had been seeing the drs. at musc and always had someone different so he wanted to become established with a doctor. He is bipolar and had 4 psychotic breaks over the past 15 years, even though he has been on meds. He believes his episodes are brought on by stress regardless of meds. He told the dr he wanted to try going drug free, dr custer kept saying "why are you here" over and over, and also said people like you should not smoke pot. he does not listen

Dr Custer was the least empathetic psychiatric professional I have ever encountered. At the time of my first (and only ) visit, he refused my requests to ask questions. He said that he alone asked the questions in his sessions. He never smiled or attempted to make me feel at ease in any way. In addition , be forewarned that he does not provide actual therapy, he only prescribes meds and does follow up medication check appointments. He is cold and frankly uncaring.
