He ruined my shoulder
I had my rotator cuff surgery on April 30th 2020. It the first day they allowed elective surgery at Washington hospital. I was to be the second surgery, I checked in at 7:30, it was very disorganized, and my surgery ended up being the last one.Dr Costouros damaged my axillary nerve and it appears to be permanent. So very heartbreaking. I was an avid golfer, swimmer and exerciser. I can no longer raise my arm up as far as my shoulder. The Dearborn Institute and Dr Costouros were recommended highly to me by Saba Kamal, of Hands On Care Physical Therapy, I followed up with all of my appointments did the work to heal after surgery. I give Saba credit for recognizing that something was wrong, but this Dr put me off saying it would just take longer to heal, I've had numerous nerve studies and they do not show significant improvement. Dr Costouros is very narcistic and never took responsibility or even apologized for the pain and suffering that I continue to experience every day.

I would absolutely recommend Dr Costuros to my family and friends. When you have an appointment with Dr C you are the most important person. He explains your condition, shows your condition on your X-ray etc. He answers all your questions and never makes you feel like you rushed. Dr. C is an excellent surgeon!

Dr. Costouros was heinous: (1) He was 2 hours late to my appointment; (2) He called me "Jim" repeatedly despite my correcting him twice (my name is Taylor); (3) His total visit time with me was 2 minutes 37 seconds; (4) He did not know how much the visit cost; (5) He did not know what my co-pay might be (6) He did not know who I could talk to in order to find out the visit cost or co-pay; (7) He did not know the cost of an MR (8) he did not give me a diagnosis; (9) He failed to treat me.
