Worst office staff
Front desk girl has the WORST ATTITUDE. I found a new doctor just because of how I was being treated over the phone. Completely unprofessional and refused to give her name.

Worst Experience
I have the first colonoscopy appointment of the day, I'm early, and I've completed the online patient information as was requested. Dr. Clemmons arrives late. The office is totally outdated with 70's furniture and pieces of the sheetrock exposed from incomplete shoddy workmanship. The scale could not get an accurate weight (poor quality instruments). When the doctor finally arrives and comes into the room he asked a couple questions then advised he would not be able to do the colonoscopy. He then stated it would have to be done in a hospital at another time. Mind you, this procedure requires fasting for days ahead then taking medicine that literally puts you on the toilet to squirt everything inside you out until you're completely empty. I've also taken a day off work, driven across Houston, paid to park all to be told the procedure wouldn't be done and needed to be rescheduled. On top of all this, they're submitting a claim to my insurance for an exam that never happened. Buyer beware

I was looking to do a colonoscopy without anesthesia or sedation and Dr. Clemmons provided a great experience for me. His entire team is very knowledgeable and helpful. He gave me good preparation and a lot of information following the procedure regarding my situation. I would highly recommend him to anyone.

Miss Diagnosis
I was a patient of Dr. Clemmons for many years and continued to have the same medical problem. On a visit to the ER I ran into Dr. A. Avvo who had a scan run on me and found out I had Stomach cancer and had, had it for years. Dr. Avvo did surgery on me and removed a large tumor that Dr. Clemmons had missed for years. As a result I no longer have the problems of the past.

STOP!, Do not have a procedure done with this man. My rating would be a negative 10, if I could. My experience was brutal and barbaric to say the least. He doesn't listen when you speak. My IV infiltrated into my hand and he refused to do anything about it. Started my procedure immediately without adequate IV meds. I was screaming, crying and writhing in pain but he just continued on, even having his male nurse lay across my belly, twice, in a dark room as a female intern sat by, observing this horrendous treatment. I was scared and no matter what I said or tried to do even screaming that "your killing me" fell on deaf ears. I would never refer anyone to this man. I am a 53 year old woman and in pretty good shape but for anyone who has polyps, God help them. I can't stress it enough, don't have this man touch you or anyone that you love.

Dr Clemmons is an excellent physician. He is known in the Houston community, doctors go to his office for GI care. He has years of experience, a great eye for patients’ needs and he takes time to communicate. His staff are pleasant and the phone is answered. He is the specialist I recommend to friends and family.

Dr. Clemmons was very nice to me - soft spoken and kind. Unfortunately the office decor and equipment have not been updated since 1975 (they still use pencils in their patient files). The woman who answers the phone was not only rude, but unprofessional and out of line on so many levels. My recommendation, based off my experience - find a different doctor who has a professional staff, real technology, LESS ATTITUDE and a little compassion.

With time and age I have gone to many doctors. I keep coming back to Dr. Clemmons, Because he is knowledgeable he explains my conditions he takes time with and my concerns. Though he is a gastroenterologist. I come back to him because of his depth of knowledge. He has taken care of many of my family members as well as friends and coworkers. When I first went to him I thought that his bedside manner was pretty much "take care of the issues". But then I realize he had such a personal concern for me and all the others that I have referred. He is quite personable and funny. We all agreed that he is not about talking chit chat much because he is so focused on our well being. Bedside manner is kindness and concern.

NEVER GO HERE. My husband had a colonoscopy. He told them ahead of time he has a lot of rectal pain and that he always requires double the standard sedation. I could hear him screaming from the waiting room multiple times. It was terrifying. I find out afterwards that they ran out of fentanyl (didn’t have any in the office) and only used versed. He told them several times beforehand that he would need pain meds. No one gave him the option of general anesthesia instead of conscious sedation. If he knew that he would have went with GA option. The staff were very friendly, but I was very disappointed still.

Dr. Clemmons is amazing, he literally saved my life. I was misdiagnosed by 3 other GI doctors 5 times prior to seeing Dr. Clemmons. He preformed an Upper GI and Colonoscopy on me & has been the doctor to diagnose, manage & help me to achieve remission of Crohn's Disease for over 6 years now. His staff is very professional and personable. I tell any and everyone that I know to go to him if dealing with GI complications.
