Great caring doctor

I would definitely recommend Dr. Burton and his office staff if you are seeking an internal medicine doctor. I called about a new medical problem and was able to be seen right away. He and his staff were prompt and on time for my appointment. His front office staff and his nurse Kelly are all very nice, professional and personable. Dr. Burton is an excellent physician, well trained, good judgement and very thoughtful and careful about medical care. I have some complicated medical problems and he always pays attention to all the details. He is pleasant, wise, experienced and personable. The check in and checkout procedures in the office are very smooth. The patient portal works well for refills, questions for the doctor. We always get a prompt response.

I have been a patient at Gainesville Internal Medicine Physicans along with my wife for many years and have always been very satisfied with the level of care and attention I have received. Dr Burton is a very fine man and a great Dr. He always makes me feel that he listens to me and helps me participate in my wellbeing at every visit. I have never left his office thinking that he did anything less than was needed. He will tell me if he thinks that I am doing something wrong and that is what I need. Kelli his nurse is also very helpful and listens to my questions and conveys them to him. At my last visit I was having some neck pain and I feel that his expertise and advice were perfect for my treatment. Having access to their labs on site is also convenient and reassuring.

Always a great experience. I was referred to Dr. Burton by an amazing female doctor who does my mammography and my gyn of 15 years also highly recommended him. He is highly respected by his peers which is no surprise. He is a great listener, very thorough and very intuitive. His staff is top notch and all very helpful and friendly. They pride themselves on being accessible to their patients which tells you they genuinely love what they do. Just the BEST.

All required health & safety standards are upheld in this practice and office. I am always treated with respect, never rushed in/out, and questions are addressed and answered. I feel confident that my records are confidential. If I need an update on a prescription, the office handles that concern. I highly recommend Dr. John Burton.

Listens and is accessible and highly competent

I find my visits with Dr. Burton fully satisfactory. He is not an alarmist. He always concentrates on solutions. He shows empathy. He is a holistic healer.

Suffering from an acute case of gout in foot, making my quality of life uncomfortable to say the least. Admin staff scheduled me same day, labs provided, followed by an evaluation by Dr. Burton, meds prescribed, and on my way. I’m so grateful each and every time I go in.

He goes over everything and always make time to listen to your concerns

Dr. Burton graciously worked me in at the end of a very full day to diagnose a cough that had already lasted two weeks. He stayed beyond hours to see me, as did Nurse Ariel. It was very helpful: I am not out of the woods yet but with the prescribed medicines, I am not constantly bothered by a racking cough and feel much better. I am grateful for Dr. Burton's kindness as well as his medical expertise.
