Not for me
He came in the room and told me that x-rays showed I needed a total hip replacement. He did not examine me or ask me to walk, or show me the xrays. Then he asked if I had questions. I had no idea I was looking at that surgery so I was shocked. I told him I had no information on whuich to base any questions and he said, 'well, you're not going to die from this.' I found him cold and unprofessional. The surgeon I chose did all the opposite so I know there are better doctors out there. Also, he only does posterior hip replacement. Anterior is easier on the patient but harder for a surgeon to perform, apparently.

Outstanding service
TB&J provides excellent service and answers all my questions and concerns. Already had one hip replaced earlier this year and having the other one replaced next week. Would not even consider going anywhere else. Dr B and his staff (especially his PA's) are fantastic

You won't see the doctor, only his staff
Calling for an appointment and hearing your number 18 says it all. Office staff is annoyed to be working and taking calls. Total PA staff and doctors don't come into the office but view scans at home. Totally faceless healthcare but competent surgeons who get business via local ERs.

A competent skilled surgeon that does not see patients who has an incredibly inept and bureaucratic office. You will see the surgeon right before surgery - not before in office or after where a PA will see you. They are not straight forward about this, saying he's here only on one day a week, or you can request him, but he schedules himself for surgery 100% and looks online at results. The staff doesn't introduce self, position or what's coming next. Call center handles all calls - totally impersonal. Can't keep track of faxes or referrals as appointments take many calls. Many offices, many surgeons, seeing as many people as possible. Would see a different doctor if I were to do it again. Patients are all referrals from ER as they will make an appointment right away but in reality there's no appt - you will be worked in. No word of mouth referrals in waiting room - just ER patients.

Dismissive & lacks a modicum of bedside manner!
I had the most unfortunate experience of meeting this physician (selected him due to geographical convenience to my work and job) but gained nothing out of the visit except lost time and humiliation. Where do I begin? His PA who came in first tried to tell me I had "demyelination in 2 of the tendons in my shoulder". I was truly so embarrassed for her. Demyelination occurs in the brain. Clearly she meant "delamination". Then he decides his treatment plan after 3 minutes and no physical exam. I humbly ask him for a work note to limit lifting as I feel that's what got me in this situation & he callously tells me I don't need one that it wasn't my lifting, pushing, and pulling dead bodies that destroyed my shoulder, rather "bad genes". Really? Because my identical twin sister doesn't have any problems nor does anyone else in my immediate family. Never in 30 years of working have I ever asked for a work restriction & the first time I do I am spit on. Awful! He needs empathy and a new PA!

I want to add another comment.... I was so impressed that Dr. Badylak took the time to hand write my post-care instructions in his own handwriting.... To me that is really special for him to take time out to hand write them instead of a print out from the computer.... It made me feel so special

In May of 2019 my husband and I were hit by a drunk driver on our motorcycle. When they put me under they told me they would be amputating my leg from the knee down. Dr Badylak did the impossible and saved my leg!!! He is not afraid of a challenge and follows it to the end. He is amazing and professional as well as patient with those of us who have a million questions. I would recommend him to everyone!!!

Dr Badylak is a very accomplished Orthopedist. He has performed an emergency radial head prosthetic repair and a non-emergency total knee replacement. I am a 50 year old man (kid!) and have just completed a cross continent trek over the continental divide and through the jungles of Costa Rica on that knee, only 9 months post operation. It performed flawlessly with zero issues. Thanks to his skills in the operating room, I was able to realize a life long dream hike. His staff are awesome as well!

I recently had a total knee replacement by Dr. Badylak. Words cannot express how wonderful my experience was. He is an excellent surgeon and his office staff is phenomenal! The whole process was smooth and I never lacked for resources to turn to or answer questions. They are very knowledgeable and kind. I have worked with many surgeons over the years and finally felt he was the one to do my surgery! You cannot go wrong with this Dr and staff.

Dr. Badylak performed surgery on my mother's foot. She is in more pain now than prior to the surgery. He gave her one cortisone shot after the surgery which didn't work. During her last visit she told him she was still experiencing excruciating pain, he told her there is nothing else he can do for her. I would not recommend this doctor to anyone.

I came in to see dr badylak after injuring my knee. He was very thorough and was able to be very personable in giving me my options, answering any questions I had, and making sure I was comfortable as far as understanding the diagnosis. I will be returning and potentially getting surgery to prolong the need of a total knee replacement, and I couldn't have been happier with my choice to see him. (Mind you I've even seen and had surgery with the dallas cowboys orthopedic surgeon) ????

Dr. Badylak is a very personable surgeon. Very good bedside manner. I had a botched knee replacement by another surgeon. Dr. Badylak went in and had to do complete a revision. Several years later he replaced my left shoulder. No more pain. I have severe arthritis. Need to have my other shoulder done and will travel to Ft. Worth to have him do it. I highly recommend him.
