surgery performed in January
Terrible followup No drain needed but never explained the gaping in stitches nor given any gauze covers after surgery for draining Surgeon made brief call after surgery and then nothing fom him 4 calls for followup check with staff with no return calls Very disappointing

I got another opinion from another doctor at a different hospital. He advised me he would simply stitch my hernia back up with needle and thread the old fashioned way. This doctor advised me that, his opinion, mesh was being used irresponsibly by other doctors and that the mesh was creating long term complications in patients. I wish I had listened to him. Why didn't Dr. Andrews tell me that? Dr. Andrews did my surgery and assured me he was using another type of mesh and not the mesh that had been recalled. Dr. Andrews assured me I would have no problem with the mesh he was going to insert into my body. He encouraged me to use the mesh and I trusted him. Now I am slowly dying from toxins seeping into my system along with the mesh slowly incorporating itself throughout my stomach lining and muscles causing me much pain and discomfort. Sorry Dr. Andrews. You were my hero and you let me down real bad. Can you remove it with no complications? NOT.

We were referred to Dr. Andrews by our primary care physician for an emergency. My husband had a large growth. Dr, Andrews was very professional and reassuring and at first we appreciated the conservative approach he seemed to take. The growth quickly changed in size, shape and consistency - but when we called back we were told he was off. We did not get a follow up call for 4 days. It was frightening! We found another surgeon -whose office actually cared. He NEEDS NEW STAFF!!!!!!!

Dr. Andrews is the most kind and excellent skilled DR. I have ever known and that is saying alot as I have worked in the medical field for 30 years. I have worked with him and have been his patient as well and his bedside manor is sweet and caring.
