Dr. Joena Chan, MD

Dr Chan is an excellent doctor. She does all necessary testing, and takes the time to explain everything in detail. The appointments are never rushed. Would highly recommend her.

I had originally came to Horizons to see another doctor, but one day she was unavailable, and Dr Chan impressed me to the point where I made her my primary doctor. Despite how obviously busy she is, I did not feel like a number on a chart to be processed. She does not hesitate to answer my direct questions, speaks to me in a personable and professional manner, and even goes above and beyond to help me with any prescriptions and lab work I may need. I highly recommend Dr. Chan as a truly caring and knowledgeable doctor!

Last time i visited Dr. Chan, she was a bit rude and taken aback that i was healthy despite having low thyroid. She also didn't explain any future tests or the results of the tests that were taken. Also, she has no respect for her patients, before i turned an adult, dr. chan was fine with testing as a fasting blood draw every year. Now, every test i do is a fasting one, and it was never explained to me the reasoning behind it. Also, to boot, maybe one doesn't want too many blood draws. She didn't seem to respect that. Also i had to ask through the portal about my (now canceled) blood draw, because i wasn't sure if it was fasting or not fasting. i felt like more of a number.

I have been a patient of Dr Chan for several years at her Monroe office. She goes out of her way to explain everything about the plan of care. She has always been professional & took the time to listen.

Dr. Chan goes above and beyond. She really takes a great deal of time with her patients. We put our trust in her and are never disappointed in the service we receive.

Dr. Chan is knowlegable and patient. She listens and asks the right questions to get the information she needs. It took several appointments for me to become comfortable with her but now I wouldn't see anyone else.
