One of the kindest and best physicians that I have ever met and I worked in healthcare for almost 50 years. I am so lucky that he was my surgeon.

Our teenage daughter had several surgeries with Dr. Williams to correct unique bilateral hip and leg issues. Dr. Williams, Jessica (his PA), and Marisol (his admin assistant) were amazing throughout the entire journey. Dr. Williams took his time when explaining all of her complicated surgeries and Jessica and Marisol were quick to answer emails and were always compassionate. Our daughter felt very comfortable with Jessica and the surgeries were successful.

Dr Williams has been the best, I had a PAO done last July and he was super informative and helpful in the decision process. He was around after surgery to personally check on me as well as responding to any questions I’ve had after surgery over the past year! I would recommend him to anyone having hip pain!

Dr Williams led a talented, devoted and intelligent team into what was a more complicated surgery than they were expecting and did some amazing work.

A Surgeon that makes you wait over an hour past your appointment, just to belittle and humiliate you… in less than 5 minutes. Horrible experience all around.

At the age of 36 I was referred to Dr. Williams by another Midwest Orthopedics at Rush doctor who saw that I had hip dysplasia in my X-ray. After scaring myself via googling treatment options I made my first appointment with Dr. Williams in Aug 2020. We discussed my options and determined best course of treatment was a right Periacetebular Osteotomy (PAO) and labrum repair (which he could do all in one long surgery). I was in the hospital 4 nights/5 days and on crutches 8 weeks. I started PT at the 8 week mark and went down to one crutch right away. I was off crutches (and back to driving) within about 2.5 months from my surgery date. Honestly had I known my recovery would be as smooth and not as painful as feared I wouldn’t have waited a whole year. I am now almost one year post op and doing great! I can walk miles and miles without pain, I ride my Peloton daily and occasionally go for jogs. I can swim, climb stairs and sleep without any pain. I am so thankful for Dr. Williams!

Dr Williams and his team were amazing through the whole process of diagnosing and treating my hip dysplasia. Everyone was polite, thorough, and empathetic to me and my family.

Dr Williams and his PA Jessica are fabulous. I had an accident and was taken to Stroger. I was so fortunate to have Dr Williams as my surgeon there and at Midwest Ortho for all follow up. Am incredible team, very responsive, kind and accessible throughout my ordeal.

My experience with Dr Williams has been nothing but good feedback. I had an emergency surgery in Wisconsin due to a snowmobile accident and came home and have seen Dr. Williams since and he has taken great care which was a great relief to find someone that cared for what I had going on. Dr Joel Williams & staff are amazing! Due to my bilateral hip dysplasia, he performed my LPAO last year & my RPAO 8 weeks ago and I’m doing great! These are intense surgeries but from pre-surgery to surgery to post-surgery, Dr Williams, PA Jessica Pezzo, & secretary Mara coordinate everything to support my physical & emotional needs. They truly care & their response time to my questions or needs are quick & supportive. They are the best & I’m so grateful to them & Rush hospital.

Dr.Williams and his team were fantastic in helping me solve my hip dysplasia pain. They were so helpful and explained the process very well, walked me through the steps, and were in constant contact. Dr. Williams treated for a complicated break to the tibia near the knee. A week has passed between my accident and the actual surgery. I was concerned that there would be problems with the surgery, but all went extremely well. Dr. Williams and his staff (Ms. Pezzo and Ms. Isaacs) were extraordinarily responsive to my needs. Dr. Williams performed surgery on my 87 year old mother after a fall. She is very active and we had concerns about her ability to remain fully active due to the amount of damage to her smashed elbow. Post-op, after a very long surgery, Dr. Williams took the time to explain everything to us and explain what we cold expect during recovery. On our follow-up appointments he was never rushed and took the time to answer all of our questions. We never once felt rushed. The office is professional and well-run and everyone is kind and helpful. Not a single complaint, and that is very unusual for me! I cannot recall waiting during any of our appointments, and we've had a few because my mother fell again, which required a second surgery. I can highly recommend Dr. Williams for both surgical skills and patient care. Dr. Williams, we are so grateful for you. Thank you.

Dr Joel William's is a fenominal Dr. and wonderful person his whole team are absolutely awesome I had a broken femur some other dr greenburg hacked and should have his license revoked and Dr. JOEL did surgery 2 months and 6 days ago and I'm starting pt next week I would highly recommend him as and his team cannot say enough great things about them simply the best bar none

Dr. Williams is a fantastic doctor I would refer him to everybody .I fractured my left femur in two places he put a steel plate in to help it heal. I'm so grateful to have him for my doctor he's very friendly and professional. He's so easy to talk to and listens to his patients.
