Dr. Steinberg seems to harbor a deep resentment toward recovering addicts. As a recovering addict that, for a time, depended on Dr. Steinberg for treatment, I found his approach to be punitive and judgmental rather than therapeutic and supportive. Providers like this perpetuate the negative image/stigma of addicts in recovery thereby making the already difficult process of recovery from drugs and alcohol that much harder. Do not go to this man for help, you won't get it.
