I was very impressed with Doctor Ragland. He answered all my questions and explained everything so that I could understand it.

Dr Ragland and his office staff are the cream of the crop. The front desk receptionist were smiling and kind.His nurse (Whitney) was accommodating and sweet.Dr Ragland has excellent bedside manner, is very patient, and his sense of humor is fantastic. All the above enables the patient to feel relaxed and confident.My surgery was successful and I continue to improve everyday.I can’t imagine a better neurosurgeon!

Dr. Ragland spent the time to go over my MRI on my back and answered every question I had. He was thorough and very patient. Also, he wasn't rushing me out to head to the next room. I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Ragland.

I was prepared to schedule surgery, but after extended discussion and some relevant information provided by Dr. Ragland, decided that I did not need to rush into it; and that I should take more time to evaluate, try some alternatives, and make sure surgery is my best option

I have never had a better doctor experience in my life! And this one being with a neurosurgeon who operated on my back makes it even more of a blessing. After lots of researching of neurosurgeons when I was told I was going to need surgery to fix my herniated disc, I found Dr Ragland and scheduled a consultation appointment. He sat with my wife and I for over an hour explaining what was happening in my back, what options we had available, what approach he would choose given the MRI and patient history information, and answering all of our questions. He was very thorough and listened to me. I was able to list my concerns and fears and we discussed all options, not just surgery. Ultimately my wife and I chose the surgery as my back was really bad. 3 days out and my surgery was an immediate success! My pain and numbness gone immediately. Surgery site not even that painful. I was walking the same day and off the hydros day 2. All in all, if you need back surgery in Knoxville he’s your guy!

Dr. Ragland was well prepared to for each appointment. He asked important questions, answered professionally, answered all questions we had, review and directed next steps, organized,, friendly, laughter, just an amazing physician! He was very kind, genuine, honest, and he made us feel well taken care of.

My chances of having a good outcome was high but he was very honest about what the outcome of the could have been.

Dr. Ragland was amazing. He explained everything very well. Not only did he explaine but he listened. The staff was awesome, they went above and beyond.

Dr. Ragland listened carefully to my history and was very engaged in my problem. After examination, we discussed what course of action to take. He spent a great deal of time and approached everything with great integrity and explanation.

I actually saw Ragland in 2015. He said he was conservative, I had issues in L4,5 and S1. He could have fused but chose to do a laminectomy. It is now 2024. I am 76yo. Still play golf. I see a chiropractor weekly who keeps me flexible and adjusted. All good. Thanks! Dr. Ragland!

My surgery was astonishing. Not at all what I expected. It was so pain free I was back to normal in 2 days except for some bruising. That was worse than the surgery. I did not really need any pain medication at all. I would use him again in a heart beat. Thank you Dr. Ragland for being the best.

Dr. Ragland spent time with me, put thought into his recommendations, and reviewed all my records and images. Importantly, he listened and offered suggestions that he thought would have a better outcome than surgery. If all doctors were as caring, more people would be healthy. If I ever have surgery- this will be who performs it!

Dr. Raglan listened to me and gave me options. My problems are inoperable, so he referred me to physical therapy. Four previous neurosurgeons have left me without hope.
