A mixed bag
Expect to wait a long time in the waiting room. Like 2 plus hours with no acknowledgment or apology. The doctor himself was very friendly and the surgery center where I ended up having wrist surgery, I felt positive about. However, most of the support staff made the process a bit frustrating. I felt at times rushed and or not listened to. There were complications that were not the doctors fault, so i had questions and follow up, that i felt could have been handled better. It's a large, extremely busy practice that felt like an assembly line operation.

Office visit
Dr. Goode and his assistant Liz are exceptional people and competent, professional, caring, compassionate health care providers. They instill confidence and I trust, without question, the advise and treatment. I couldn't feel more comfortable with any other orthopedic doc and feel fortunate that I Dr. Goode and Liz treat my orthopedic issues. I highly recommend Dr. Goode's services.

Should Ask Questions
No questions were asked, just a x-ray and a “diagnosis “, then an injection. Injection didn’t help much at all. And now a revisit and hopefully a few questions about possible injuries and fixes. Definitely no more injections. They only mask the problem, they don’t fix it.

There are often long wait times but that's because he communicates with you and listens to what you say.

Arthritis flares
I get surprised when I get arthritis in places I didn’t even know I had. I enjoy Dr Goode but was lucky enough to be seen by his PA who is well trained and fully prepared for visits such as my. Thumb is self destructing and attacked by arthritis. I had a flare and the pain level hit new heights. I had an injection given by Doctor Goode last year and had another one done by the PA. You can trust them both.

Dr. Goode was able to give me options for further treatment, which is what I asked for. He was seen for a second opinion. Wish I had seen him before I had surgery elsewhere.

Dr. Goode misguided me relative to my need for surgery. He gave me an option not to have surgery when I needed it. I was told by another orthopedic hand surgery 6 months later not having surgery was a mistake. I then needed a much more complicated surgery with a longer recovery time. I would not recommend Dr. Goode. Furthermore, you wait hours to get in to see him.

Scheduling needs work
Waited 90 min for appt (which I was ok with since Dr Goode is worth the wait) that I waited 2 months for. Then Dr got called to surgery so I was seen by his PA (who was very new to orthopedics). Wasn’t able to have surgery discussion with PA as she wasn’t comfortable doing so.

Complete Distal Bicep Tear
I (44M) suffered a Complete Tear of my Distal Bicep (Left) on 24 May (evening). I got approval from my insurance on 25 May to see an Ortho Surgeon. Dr. Goode and his staff got me in on 26 May. I was on the operating table the next available surgery day (Monday). His quick and excellent work has me on the road to recovery, and I should be able to do everything I could prior to the injury.

AWESOME Medical Provider and Staff!!
Dr. Goode is certainly the upper echelon of hand, elbow and shoulder orthopaedists! He knows his specialty. He takes time to work with you. If you have a situation where it is necessary to work with you over a time, he readily does that! His goal is in making certain that he provides the very best medicine to each of his patients, and individuality IS important to this doctor! Dr. Goode's entire team are sincerely concerned about making each patient visit pleasant, professional and accurate. We have heard a couple of people complaining about their long wait in seeing Dr. Goode. My response to those impatient people is, "Dr. Goode is WORTH the wait!!" If you know ahead of time that there is a possibility that you may have a wait, then you won't be disappointed. Personally, I appreciate being able to wait to be seen by the very best!! One reason that doctors run late is because they are taking necessary time to treat patients with the utmost of care. I'm in GOODE Hands! Thank you!
