Unfortunately, this provider stepped into my wife’s hospital room twice at Abrazo West Campus Hospital is October 2019. The hospital, the nursing / hospital staff, her primary doctor / surgeon along with all of the primary doctor’s staff all participate with IN-NETWORK billing practices. This provider is not affiliated with the IN-NETWORK hospital billing. I believe ethical thing that this provider should have been done was to inform the patient that this provider is not affiliated with the IN-NETWORK hospital billing practices. You will be billed OUT OF NETWORK fees. The patient should have the choice on whether to be seen by this provider or to be seen by another provider that works with the IN-NETWORK hospital billing practices. It’s bad enough that there is a person who needs to be in a hospital, and then the patient becomes a financial victim of a provider without being informed of the risk. This provider refused to work with the insurance company.
