Dr. Joel Camilo, MD

Dr Camilo spent a great deal of time with me, discussing my symptoms, asking many questions to narrow down what might be the cause. He ordered tests that he thought might help determine what exactly is going on. He also recommended some preventative care that my primary care or Gyn doctor had not. He stated that it would be best to get a bone density test as well as a pneumococcal vaccine as mu celiac disease puts me at a higher risk for osteoporosis and pneumonia.

Dr. Camilo is an outstanding doctor with a friendly bedside manner. I met with Dr. Camilo to discuss symptoms and treatment. He was patient and knowledgeable. He explained my options and answered all of questions. After a colonoscopy screening, cancer was detected in my colon. Dr. Camilo fast tracked next step for me, CT Scan, MRI, blood work, etc. Dr. Camilo even took time out of his weekend to call me personally to share results. I am so grateful. I highly recommend Dr. Camilo.

I went to see Dr. Camilo for a colonoscopy consultation. It will be my first one so I'm quite nervous about it. The doctor was so nice, explained the whole procedure to me and really put me at ease about having the procedure.

I paid my copay before the appointment. Then I kept getting bills for the cops so I sent a check. Then they sent me a check for the copay but then I got bill again!Besides dr camillo doesn't care about his patients but just wants to do procedures and collect from insurance. Find someone else

Will never recommend him to anyone ! Had the colonoscopy after lying on a gurney for over an hour waiting for him to show up ! He never gave me the results & after waiting over 4 weeks for them I went to a new doctor & they obtained them within the hour ! Unprofessional to say the least !

Always excellent

I had an appointment in Roswell office today my appointment was at 2;50. Dr Camilo didn’t come in my room until 4:35. I was last patient to leave office. Not a happy person right now.

Dr Camilo was very thorough, caring, and explained everything very well. Would highly recommend

Very caring, capable doctor and staff. No stone was left unturned in my treatment. The only thing I would change is the office wait time. Overall, very happy with Dr. camillo??.

No problems. All went well as expected.

Dr Camilo is a good doctor but good luck trying to work with his Atlanta Gastro office. I’ve called in to get meds to help with a flare up and they got around to calling me back a week after the flare stopped. Dr Camilo told me to follow up in 1-3 weeks after a procedure then the office can’t figure out how to set an appointment that soon. Horrible horrible office. The people at Northside told me their office gets many complaints so it’s not just me. Find someone else if you can.

I would never recommend Dr. Camilo to anyone. He is always late. Very unprofessional to not be on time for his appointments and procedures. I have waited at least one hour for my appointments with him and the final straw was when I waited for over two hours past my scheduled appointment and still was not seen. After wasting two hours of my time, I had to leave for work. After speaking to others, I became aware that he was always late for other's appointments as well. He also did not guide me toward any direction or answer with my problems. I have switched doctors.

They rescheduled my appt time 2x making my appt time 4:00PM on a Friday afternoon. I waited over 1.5 hours before I was even called back to an exam room. Dr Camilo came in and barely spend any time with me and charged me $511 for barely a 15 minute visit after being 1.5 hours late. By the time he was finished with me, the whole office had already gone home. I cannot recommend this doctor.

Very professional

The office staff was very nice and explained follow up procedures thoroughly. Dr. Camilo was very thorough and was not rushed. He was attentive and willing to listen.
