Horrible treatment of my husband
My husband was admitted Feb 28 2025discharged march 3 2025 He was seen by Dr Joanne’s Paul everyday and even called me at home to explain his condition. He told him to make an appointment for a few days later. I called the office left a message because the message advised not to call multiple times it is now 3 weeks later and nothing. I called again and was told he has no appointments until late May & they don’t take our insurance I Told the girl I would pay the $410.00 could she please go and tell him about my husband’s need to see him. She said she would well I’ve heard nothing. This is a shame & he should be suspended from any privileges to see in- house patients. He has no care or concern. At least recommend another neurologist. My husband has been suffering since May 3. We are scheduled to attend our grandsons graduation & I told him that ruining peoples life is not the oath of a DOCTOR. Ps is there anyone on this thread that can recommend a real neurologist. Thank you

Thorough, Competent and Kind
Dr Pauls is very thorough and very reassuring. My mild Essential Tremor is very well managed on an inexpensive medicine.

Awful experience
Dr Pul comes off as very compassionate, however if you have been treated by a neurologist prior to him he is an awful listener. I had 6 years of treatment and had my migraines under control, sadly I had to find a new Dr and I saw Dr. Paul. His office lacked ability to get my records so I did it myself. I had hand written notes from my previous Dr explaining how I was treated and Dr. Paul disregarded it all. He only follows one format. If you are a patient that needs something different he’s not the right Dr. He was disrespectful in my wishes and put me in an awful situation. Not medically treating me the way I needed to be and setting my medical needs back months. I left his office knowing what he did wasn’t going to work. He didn’t listen as I said over and over that this is how I had been treated for years. Such an awful experience. I do not recommend at all.

I found Dr. Paul to be engaging.… A good listener, patient, sensitive and intelligent/experienced. Unlike so many doctors these days, he sat with me for a while and I never felt that his foot was halfway out the door before he entered the room. I think his conservative approach to treatment is a plus as opposed to so many doctors who overmedicate and treat symptoms before having a diagnosis. I was impressed by the fact that he also returned my call twice when I needed to speak with him.

not a responsive office
I saw Dr Paul on April 4, 2022 , he prescribed a medication 1- Primidone for my tremor and ordered an2- MRI of Brain On April 11, I tried to call the office to tell 1- The medication caused extreme dizziness , so what suggestion they would make 2- The Boca Raton Hospital called saying their MRI is not compatible with my pacemaker , so I should call Dr Paul which I did on April 11 Since I did not get any call back, I called again on April 12 , again left a message , as there was no live answer. This is as poor as communication can get when you can not speak with a live person , even when I left a message with the medical person and her message was full. Hope others may learn from my experience

I cannot say enough about about Dr. Paul. He is a compassionate and extremely intelligent doctor. He NEVER rushes you, and ALWAYS makes you feel comfortable. Another important quality of Dr. Paul's is that he never makes you feel like your questions are "not important." I am thrilled to have him as my neurologist.

Follow up visit after motorcycle crash : to go over MRI reading of head/brain mass. This doctor went over all options and treatment methods. Also ordered MRI of Neck and lower Back to be sure. He’s to the point and on the ball to explain the conditions and best way to repair. I truly appreciate a no nonsense approach of facts.

I was admitted to Delray Medical hospital for a stroke. Dr. Paul treated me while in the hospital and his personal care are was wonderful. He was very patient and explains everything. Extremely knowledgable. I didn't see him later at his office because his group didn't accept my United Health Care Plan F insurance. I highly recommend Dr. Paul and my family liked his bedside manner.
