As parents of 3 children with VonWillowbrands we arrived at Albany Med and started our care with Dr Joanne Porter! Through the years she had gave us support, knowledge and awesome care! We had some hard situations with our children and she was always there providing personal phone and beeper numbers along with the best care we could ask for! The care that she gives is hard to walk away from as the kids become adults and have to transition to new doctors! She always went above what was expected! She made us strong parents to deal with the disease and know how to handle! Thank you for everything you have done for my family!

Can not thank her enough
I can't say enough great things about how she handled my uncles situation with my cousin and mom. I am very thankful she was involved and can only hope every one losing a loved one has someone like her on their team.

Dr. Porter saved my daughters life 11 years ago. After visiting two other physicians in 6 weeks she was the only one who listened and took my daughters symptoms seriously. I am so greatful for this amazing lady!

Joanne Porter is an arrogant woman and I refuse to refer to her as a doctor. Anyone under her care needs to request her notes from AMC's medical records. She is two faced and says one thing to the parents and another to the treatment team. A parent told us that she is currently under investigation with the department of health.
