Dr. Joanne Dannenhoffer, MD

Normally a great doctor. I guess COVID has changed things. I went to see her in order to get medical clearance paperwork filled out to go to an eating disorder residential treatment facility. My appointment was 6/30 and I informed her that these forms needed to be sent to the facility by 7/14 by 12 PM. Which was a reasonable deadline. She didn’t even bother to send them and it’s 7/19. She has still yet to send them. Even following multiple calls and messages from me and my therapist. The blood tests can’t be older than two weeks. Which means I will have to go somewhere else and get them redone and possibly redo the entire 1 hour intake. Holding me back from getting the support I need for an additional 2 weeks to a month. I haven’t eaten in over a month. If I end up dead or in the hospital then that’s on her. If that’s not medical malpractice then I’m not sure what is. If I were under 100 lbs this paperwork would be done already. Apparently my disorder is not important to this doctor

Excellent MD. 1st time @ doctor's office since pandemic. UTI and needing antibiotics. She is empathetic, calm, non hurried, matter of fact, thorough, actually listens and answers all questions. It was terrifying to go there because 1 office staff refused to wear a mask. Seriously? Dr. Dannenhoffer listened to my fears and let me complain about this instead of brushing it off. She made me feel safe and valued as a patient. She followed up on blood test results with a phone call the next day. Awesome health care provider!!!

I have recommended Dr. Dannenhoffer to others who have found her a great intelligent, caring, listening, accomplishing physician. Her bedside manner brings answers out of her patients in a non-threatening manner, getting to the immediate problem quickly. She spends the necessary time with each patient.
