Poor explanations, irrelevancy issues
I felt like Dr. Lua did a very poor job listening to my concerns, and spent a lot of time on things that weren't relevant to the visit. I'm trans, and he seemed to completely misunderstand what that meant, to the point that I'm worried that that misunderstanding will impact my treatment decisions. Despite being told that I'm not on hormones, he seemed to insist that my hormones were abnormal, without doing any tests, and that was a big risk factor for...something. When I asked what or how he didn't really answer. He seemed to think that being trans was a condition caused by abnormal hormone levels. He spent a long time reading through visit notes for unrelated things and went on a whole lecture about my weight and how I needed to lose weight because it would hurt my knees, despite that being completely unrelated to the memory issues I was presenting for. Did a very poor job answering questions or explaining the plan for my care.

The level of professionalism in this office is low. Once checked on the status of the wait time and was yelled at before getting the question out it's only 15 mins after your appointment time. Dr. Luo is very dismissive, his back faces the patient for the majority of the visit. He failed to acknowledge the seriousness of the patient's condition, in my opinion. He wasted months of crucial time needed to get a diagnosis.
