Dr. Jim Hong, MD

Dr Hong and his staff/wife has been amazing since I first started going which was 5+ years ago. Unfortunately after my divorce I lost my insurance and I moved 2 1/2 hours away so I seen someone closer to my home at the time. Which he understood. Well he retired so I decided to reach back out to Dr. Hong and asked if I could come back and if he would take my current insurance until my other kicks in and he said absolutely and got me in the next day! It was like I never left seeing him. He nor has his staff/wife changed and still just as amazing. Anybody that has a bad experience sounds like they didn’t get what they wanted. Also, it is normal to wait to see a doctor depending on how busy the office is and if certain patients need a little extra time which will make any doctor behind especially new patients. Thank you Dr. Hong and Staff for always being great!

Dr Hong is a great Doctor He has compassion for his patients I have been going to him for many years

I am a past patient of Dr Hong , I left the area in 2014 and just moved back (2022) . I contacted his office , they still had my medical records and gave me an appt for the following day . When I saw him, he treated me like he had just seen me yesterday. He was very helpful and kind . His price for self pay customers is fair and reasonable. Thank you for your care , Dr Hong

My boyfriend has needed his help from the beginning due to a serious injury. All he is good for is pushing you off to the next person to deal with you. He is not responsive and his office secretary doesn't know what she is doing. If I could give him 0 stars I would. What a waste of time.....

I recently moved to the area and was in need of sourcing a new family doctor. Jim Hong is a good doctor for very basic care, or if you’re in need of a referral They charge a $10 convenience fee, each time, for calling in prescription refills. I worked in the medical field for several years and this is the first physician I’ve ever heard of doing such a thing, and it seems rather petty. Aside of the ridiculous surcharges to obtain my medication, Dr. Hong is an okay option.

Dr. Hong has been my doctor for nearly 20 years. He has done so much for my personal well-being and that of my daughter & grandson. He literally saved my daughter's life when she needed neck surgery. He sent her to the BEST specialist and the surgery was more than successful. In addition, when my grandson was 5 he was seeing a local pediatrician that never ran any tests on my grandson to try to determine his unusual weight gain. His mom took him to Dr. Hong and Dr. Hong immediately sent him for blood tests. When the tests returned abnormal, Dr. Hong sent him to a liver specialist at Cardinal Glennon. Through the specialists at Cardinal Glennon, my grandson received the very best treatment and is a healthy teenager today. I have recommended Dr. Hong to other friends and all have been pleased. He is a caring and considerate doctor and I am more than pleased to give him this long over-due praise. Thank you, Dr. Hong for always being there for me & my family!

The first impression a physician makes upon a potential patient will either bring reassurance, leading to trust from the alleviation of fear, or, be a real deal breaker. When I find such a doctor, I am loyal. Dr. Hong is one of those 5 star physicians because he listens to the questions I ask and responds in kind with questions that reflect this. If I have to wait beyond my original appointment time, it's because he cares about all of his patients. When my turn comes, I know he will devote as much time as it takes to address my needs. Dr. Hong will remember me and why I came the last time during my current appointment. In my search for the right person after my previous doctor took a sabbatical, I never wavered from the high level of expectations I had come to know. I 'fired' 2 immediately for their arrogance. When I met Dr. Hong, I knew my healing would be safe. In addition, his staff is wonderful! They certainly reflect their 'boss'. All have a great sense of humour and are so kind.

Dr Hong has been my Family and my Dr for Many years and he not only is one of the Most thorough practitioner's that I have ever had, her Listens to my concerns, find the solution to hard to find problems, and I value and Very Much appreciate him and all he does. His Staff, (Rose, Susanne, and Dustin are just as awesome and very appreciated as well) I highly recommend Dr Hong and his crew to Anyone looking for a new Dr. and look forward ho having to having them as ours for many more years to come.

Forgot my medication and was out of state. Called to get a prescription sent to a nearby pharmacy. I was charged a $10 dollar convince fee because he was busy. I paid the ten for him to electronically send it to the pharmacy.

My husband and I have been patients of Dr. Hong for 15 years. He is an excellent health care provider who spends time asking and answering questions. At every visit I feel that he takes my concerns seriously and provides the best treatment course for me. Highly recommended family practitioner.

I really love Dr Hong. He is a wonderful doctor and he takes his time and address’ any concerns you have. He is not afraid to order you test or send you to a specialist!!

Very smart and investigative Doctor honestly! Really has help me resolve my health issues throughout the years. Setting Up Appointments are in a highly responsible time.

Dr. Hong’s office was very clean and the staff is very professional. As new patients, my daughter and I were seen on a same day appointment with only a 12 minute wait in the waiting room and we’re seen immediately once we taken to the back. Dr. Hong was knowledgeable and very attentive to our medical concerns. Referring family and friends.

Notice how he leaves snarky responses on ANY review that isnt glowing? And he always turns it around on the person. It cant possibly be HIS fault. On google reviews he actually responds to someones review and tells the reviewer that they are "a bad person". Never seen such unprofessionalism in my LIFE!

I would recommend seeing Dr. Hong. Unlike my last doctor, you actually speak with a person when you call, and get an appointment same day/week. I've never had to wait long or had any negative experiences stated in previous reviews. He will find a medication that works for you if necessary.

Ive been seeing Dr Hong for years and i find Dr Hong to be a excellent doctor. If i need a specialist he reefers me the day of my visit. His staff is excellent and kind.

I have been a patient of Dr. Jim Hong for about 2 yrs. He is wonderful. I never had a Doctor so persistent and thorough as Dr.Hong. Without his persistent treatment and his diligent diagnoses of test he order and specialist he referred me to, I would not be where I am today. Feeling greatful, thank you Dr. Jim Hong.

Dr. Hong has always been prompt with his patience scheduling. He listens to his patients experiences, and sufferings. Seeks to find them help through medicine. He's not a counselor, he's not a shrink. He's a MD. He does his job wonderfully & has always been kind to me.

Great doctor who listens and cares. Highly recommended.
