Very reassuring
Of course I was nervous, speaking about heart surgery but Dr Cheung spoke so reassuringly that I calmed down.

Skill and Communication
Telehealth
Dr. Cheung has exceptional medical skills, but his ability to communicate and connect with the patient puts him in rarified air. Patient, direct, and clear, his ability to convey complex information in layman's terms is exceptional.

Superb Cardiologist
Dr Cheung is an outstanding cardiologist with a specialty in arrhythmias, an academic expert in his field and leader among clinicians. I am a doctor myself and know the full range of possibilities and I consider myself fortunate to be under Dr Cheung’s superb care. He performed an ablation almost a decade ago for my recurrent AF after which I have had no recurrence or problems. In my last appointment Dr Cheung told me I may qualify to participate in a research project that advances knowledge in this field. Dr Cheung’s careful listening to my nuanced report of occasional cardiac irritability led him to think of me as a research candidate, to sort through the possibilities with the potential of implementing a new, more flexible protocol for taking prn “as needed” anticoagulants should there be brief episodic AF that eludes capture. Moreover, Dr. Cheung is caring, with a common sense approach. I’m lucky to have him on my team!

Head Shaker
Dr Cheung is a capable and affable physician, one of the top docs in electro cardiology. That said, the poor administrative coordination within his office left me wishing I’d gone to Mt Sinai instead. Beginning with scheduling me for conflicting tests in my initial screening, through to arranging for a medical monitoring device so late my follow up had to be rescheduled, and completely dropping important communications, the indifference and haphazard follow up of the office staff makes it a gambit to one’s health.

Dr. Cheung takes time and cares
This was a follow up appointment to review my medications and discuss my atrial fibrillation. Dr. Cheung explains things in a way that is easily understandable to a non-medical person. The appointment was not rushed and he took as much time as necessary to answer my questions.

Best of the Best
Dr. Cheung arrived for our first appointment (with a big smile) fully conversant with the details of my case history, having already been in contact with the specialist who referred me to him. He was positive, thorough in his detailed explanation and very responsive in a relaxed manner. As we are rolling into a technical procedure his grace and surety instilled a strong sense of confidence in me, and removed a good bit of stress from me.

A terrific EP— I wouldn’t go anywhere else!
When I was researching electrophysiologists for an atrial ablation that I decided to have done ,six years ago, Dr. Cheung came very highly recommended to me by other cardiologists that I know and trust. Dr. Cheung was amazing and I couldn’t be more grateful for the recommendation!

Caring and attentive
Everything about my visits has been positive. He is knowledgeable, well-prepared, and a good listener. He answers all questions, even my somewhat dumb ones, and gives very clear information on the pros and cons of suggested treatments. His entire staff is courteous, professional, and friendly. For the first time in years, my heart is functioning normally. That is wonderful!I would recommend Dr. Cheung to anyone needing his type of services.
