Needs better staff
Dr. Shah is a great doctor! Both my husband and I see him and have been very pleased with him. It's his staff that I don't like and that's why I'm giving 2 stars. His staff does not return voicemails nor texts. I shouldn't have to drive to different clin8cs to get the answers I need from Dr. Shah. Lupita is the WORST medical assistant EVER!!!! Lupita will not do what she promises it goes on deaf ears. Dr. Shah really needs to look at the service his staff gives as it's a reflection on him.

Awesome doctor!
Dr. Shah is an excellent doctor. Great “bedside” manner. I didn’t feel rushed during the appointment. Very responsive to my questions and concerns. Gave thorough and easy to understand answers and recommendations. Would highly recommend Dr. Shah.

Compassion
Our second vist with 94 yr old Mom. Dr. Shah was patient, compassionate, knowledgeable & believe it if I say, he knew to speak loud and slow in terms we could grasp. His tome with us was not rushed. We felt he truly cared!

Perfect
Visit with Dr Shah was positive. He went over prescribed drugs from prior visits. Suggested modifications to prescriptions and described what might happen in future if my health continues to improve. Overall, a positive experience.

Condescending, Arrogant, Dismissive
Please don't waste your time - pursue care from another provider. Dr. Shah was repeatedly dismissive of medical concerns and unable to admit when he doesn't know how to explain symptoms. Instead, he will, VERY confidently, give you a wrong explanation. A second opinion confirmed how awful Dr. Shah's assessment was. This wouldn't be quite so frustrating if he had a little bit of humility and just a tiny bit of bedside manner. He is unfortunately extremely condescending and will not listen to your questions. Would absolutely not recommend.

I CAN’T BUY HELP!
Dr Shah did not take the time to respond to my concerns and even though I've had diarrhea since 02-01-2024 he told me he wanted to see me in a month. Make it make sense? Since then I’ve been to ER and my PCP, who referred me back to my Gastro I spoke to his office and explained how ridiculous it was for me to have to wait another month with the diarrhea. She said she would call the Dr and call me right after talking to him. That was a week ago and no response so I requested my medical records so I can go see someone who really cares about their patients.

Straight shooter
Dr. Shah is a straight shooter, at first I didn’t know how to take it, but once I gave him an actual chance I saw how much he really cares. He knows his specialty and although I didn’t realize it at first, he goes that extra mile to ensure I was not only ok at that moment but in the long run as well. His approach is evidence based and he cares about your longevity. I recommend him 100% without any reservations whatsoever. It’s been about 5 years and he ensures I am comfortable and controlled with my chronic GI condition.

Condescending and money drive.
I was referred for a colonoscopy. I don’t have any complaints about the procedure as staff were efficient and knowledgeable. Here are the concerns: you will have to take time out for another visit in order to get your results. Everything negative? You won’t get a call, nor can you call. You (and your insurance) have to pay for a visit. This is just an effort to bring in more revenue. Also, it was concerning that I went in for my colonoscopy results and was pressured into getting an endoscopy. Why? I don’t have symptoms of GERD, I didn’t complain of GERD pain yet I was repeatedly told that I needed to go on a GERD diet and schedule an endoscopy asap. It is obvious that this is just another money grab. Patients-advocate for yourself and it it doesn’t smell right than go with your gut (no pun intended). I do concur with the other reviewers about Dr Shah’s arrogance as he speaks to you as if you are a child and dismisses your questions or concerns. There are much better Drs out there.

Arrogant and Dismissive
Dismissive of wife during hospital stay. Did not transfer records from hospital to patient record. Did not inform staff of reason for 1 week follow up. Told me to get up in weak state to get my wife when appt started. Rude. Arrogant. Chided me for listing possible causes for pancreas event. Chided me for asking a follow up question during his explanation. Wouldn’t rule out any cause. Made me travel for 1 week follow up that could have been done remote.

Went in for GERD symptoms and an enlarged liver. I am overweight due to psychiatric drugs I am on, but I eat well and exercise daily and my blood pressure, etc. have always been fantastic. He didn’t seem to listen to me the entire time. The appointment was about 5 minutes total, in which he didn’t touch on my issues at all and instead began grilling me about weight loss and putting me on a diet. I tried to ask questions and he just kept repeating that I had to lose weight, like I was a child. I felt so insulted and condescended to. It was a waste of my time and money and if I could give him zero stars, I would. I still have an enlarged liver and worsening GERD!!!
