Dr. Jianmin Tian, MD

Dr. Tian was attentive from the moment he walked into the room. He made sure to listen carefully to the issues I was having and paid attention to my medical history and complications without ignoring my family history. I strongly recommend him to anyone looking for a GI doctor.

He's done multiple Upper GI Endoscopies and the last came back with Barrett's Esophagus. All he ever wanted to do is medication to try and control acid reflux. He gave me a Bravo Test to see when I refluxed. I never felt it reflux. I finally had a second GI doctor send me for a Esophagram. Results where SEVER Acid Reflux. So the medication was doing almost nothing. The Bravo Test with me never noticing the acid reflux should have been a red flag. The Esophagram test should have been done back then, over 4yrs ago. Instead I'm burning my esophagus with acid, trying to give me cancer. Thanks Dr Tian.

Dr. Tian has consistently provided excellent care. He took time to listen and understand my concerns, and then explained the possible causes and solutions clearly.

I was referred to Dr. Jianmin Tian after having tried two other gastroenterologists. I couldn’t believe the difference between him and the two former doctors. He made me feel comfortable and at ease, and he was very patient with all the questions that I had. He also explained a number of things that I would not have thought to ask. I did not feel rushed at all during my appointment, he appeared to have as much time available as I needed. He later performed a colonoscopy on me, and because I was already so impressed with him and his knowledge, I felt 100% comfortable with him as my doctor. I have told a number of people about him and recommended him highly. I would most definitely recommend him.

Dr. Tian has been my Dr. for over 4 years treating me for UC. His knowledge and care is exceptional. He is caring and educates his patients with the BEST and most current medical data available.His approach is compassionate,respectful,and down to Earth.I tried several therapies to control my UC and finally HUMIRA worked. HUMIRA calls me every month to see if I have any questions or concerns about the medication or if I wish to talk to a HUMIRA doctor or pharmacist.I shared not necessary because I have the best ,caring and informed Dr available who is Dr. Tian. I shared that if I have a question OR concern about myUC or HUMIRA I write to him via the patient portal at St. Vincent/Ascension about that issue.Dr. Tian replies the very same day answering my questions or suggesting a strategy.When I told the HUMIRA counselor his reply was, "Really,a Dr. informs/directs you that fast?" My reply was "ABSOLUTELY, he's the BEST Dr. I have ever had in my life and I'm 78."This man is amazing.

If I could leave absolutely no stars I would. This is BY FAR- The worst Dr. I have EVER had in my entire life. I think I might have had 1 office visit in 2 years. I spent every two weeks in the emergency room. He COMPLETELY misdiagnosed the problem. Put me on a MAX dose of steroids, painkillers, and some "new infusion" that he heard has great results- Rather than fixing the issue. The least compassionate Doctor I have ever even heard of. I went to a different hospital to get away from him and actually see a REAL Doctor. Every single thing he said was wrong. I had surgery and am fine now. They looked at the X-rays that this fool either looked at- Or completely threw in the trash. I was informed that the issue was there the ENTIRE time. I cannot believe this "Dr." is allowed in work in St. Vincent. I will never go there again because of his lack of every single thing a Dr. should do. Absolutely disgusting

I had an allergic reaction to the prep meds on a Sunday. We called the 24 hr emergency line, and a Dr returned our call right away. We tried another med but had another reaction. Dr Tian had me try different meds the next day which worked great!!! Dr Tian did the colonoscopy on Tuesday - a quick and easy procedure!! Dr Tian made sure my wife and I understood the procedure and options to be done if necessary. The facility’s staff was great.

Bad experience. This is the 2nd or 3 time I go to his practice. He has never touched my stomach, try to check my colon etc. He did not ask where my symptoms where located. He didn’t try to look for the reason of my problems. He asked me what I was taking and said if that works continue with it, if that would work I wouldn’t be visiting him. I left with the same questions I came in. I don’t think he knows my name, I feel I am only a number for him. I have been visiting his practice for over a year 1/2, no tests, no diet. No recommend him at all. Look for good referrals. A dr. Who cares and want you to be better.

Professional, trustworthy and he really listens and cares. He also follows up. He personally calls you back and answers your concerns. I can't ask for more. I am very pleased.

DrTian saved my mom. She had liver issue and had A LOT of bleeding. Dr.Tian personally called my mom after work to check on her. I can't recall any of my doctor even did that, He is a very caring doctor. period.

A very knowledgable and kind doctor !

My husband had an emergency visit to the hospital on the evening of July 3rd with a rectal hemorrhage. Dr. Tian found and repaired the source of the bleed. He was extremely thorough and explained everything to me.
