Could care less
I was going here for 4 years. For the first 2 years all she did was look at my hands. Gave me a script and sent me on my way, see you in a yr. The 3rd year, I asked her if she was going to xray my hands at all. She replied if it's what I wanted. I asked how she could possibly remember what my hands looked like prior. She didn't answer. She sent me down for blood work and that was it. The 4th year, she took me off the meds and said there really isn't anything she could do. I have had MRI's and X-rays for other things and they have all noted arthritis.

Thorough, patient, gentle
She was well prepared, understood and explained a course of action. There are many alternatives, and she helped me find the right medication. She is also gentle and does all she can to minimize discomfort from painful procedures.

Awful- she did not listen and quickly diagnosed me with something without listening at all to my symptoms. Never going back and I have never written a review or been this disappointed in a medical provider

There is a big disconnect here for me. I was so excited to finally get a rheum. appt. and she did run all the initial tests which showed that I have an ai disease. The next time I saw her, she forgot that she had diagnosed me, but then proceeded to tell me that I should take a certain med (which I had explained was not right for me due to previous testing) because everyone takes it who has the disease I do (even though she was now saying that I didn't have it). Every later visit was similar.

I saw Dr. Yu’s video and was excited to set up an appointment with her since I have been to so many doctors and had multiple diagnosis. I have a referral from my doctor who said I’m too young to have all these health issues and she believes I have an autoimmune disease. Whoever I spoke to was extremely rude and said I could not set up an appt until I sent the referral over. Because of her attitude I set up my appt somewhere else, where they were much nicer and more accommodating.

I have been going to Dr. Yu for TOO long, waiting for something to change. When I first went to see her I had a positive ANA test (still do), She diagnosed me with CTD; it has been 4 years and I have found more treatment with pain management. Last year I could not walk, she said I should go for an MRI; waited 2 weeks and ended up in the emergency room where they ran a scan and found several bulging discs, 1 herniated, and stenosis. She has done the bare minimum for me. I am leaving!

I imagine this one only treats very acute problems. I was turned away for early RA which has now been proven by x-rays by a truly great rheumatologist. She also told me she was doing me a "favor" by doing bloodwork for metals (even though they messed up the test - no more favors please!) She spent less than 2 minutes in the room and moved my arms around (nothing else), looked at but did not touch my ankles, and said "it's not RA"

Dr. Yu is extremely caring, sympathetic and thorough. I had been battling severe joint and muscle pain for about ten years. I saw countless doctors who merely poked around at me, and either said I had fibromyalgia, or psychiatric issues and dismissed me w/out any further testing. After explaining this to Dr Yu, she took it a step further with numerous tests. Turns out I have connective tissue disease, and with the treatment she put me on, my pain has decreased dramatically. Such a wonderful Dr!

For myself not such a good review, she seems willing to help but here I am, SED rate high and she said it's most likely my liver and sends me to see a specialist. I finally get in to see a specialist and I appear crazy because there is NOTHING wrong with my liver at all, my follow up is in 1 year. Seen her video, to be fair, doctors to have a lot of patients,It's impossible to satisfy all of them. A few times I've noticed that when there are challenges she gets motivated...just not with me.

Firstly, I never have to sit in the waiting room - my appointments are always on time. Dr. Yu spent a long time going over all test and xray results with me. She explained the cause and affect aspect of the issues I was experiencing. Dr. Yu listened to me and understood why there were specific treatment paths I did not want to explore. In using the medical portal available to all patients, I always get a response to an email within a few hours. I positively recommend Dr. Yu to everyone.
